The trouble with OP MCs is there isn’t a story if they aren’t a moron at times. Sometimes I enjoy the story, at others I find it unbearably inconsistent. Sometimes Theo is a genius spell caster, other times he practically forgets he has magic. It’s a little head scratching. His lack of preparation and lacking magical defenses is an annoyance as well. Anyway it’s been a good series to veg to.
