In only four chapters the author beautifully told the story of how Violet and Adam came together even with one major roadblock. I almost wish there had been more to the story I did not want it to end. I am hoping the cousin finds happiness too. If you are looking a quick read this is the book for you. The Duke's Invitation is a delightfully clean Regency romance. Eliza Heaton has outdone herself with this sweet romance that is well-written, filled it with a magnificent cast of characters, with witty dialogue. Her characters come to life as you find yourself drawn into their story with all the insecurities and misunderstandings they both face.

Adam and Violet have got to be the most boring couple ever created. Their conversations are so shallow and dull that I thought they were a precursor to make the actual love story stand out. But surprise! That’s it. Wow.
