Publisher's summary

Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes it feels as if everything and everyone demands all of our time, our resources, our energy, and our very lives. Writing to women in the midst of this busy, do-it-all culture, husband-and-wife team Shona and David Murray offer practical tips for living at a more sustainable pace and avoiding exhaustion, depression, and anxiety. Sharing personal stories of their own struggles with overwhelming demands, they give counsel on everything from sleep to social media, relationships to recreation, and exercise to eating. This book encourages women to cultivate a healthy approach to life motivated and moderated by Christ's transforming grace.

Grateful for this reminder!

A really important reminder in our fast paced culture. I grew up in the ministry and now work in the ministry and this book was a much needed reminder for me. I believed that slowing down or saying “no” was just me being lazy. I highly recommend this to any Christian woman who is feeling worn out or overwhelmed.

Great book

A book that I really needed to read. I really feel like I need the paper book so that I can see and implement the changes she’s suggesting. Highly recommend for moms who feel burnt out (like me).

Just what I needed

This book was spot on and just what I needed from a Christian perspective. I recommend it to any Christian lady, as well as the male counterpart to this book.

Amazing!

Great book! It really helped me lay aside needless stress and unimportant Biden’s and follow Christ more effectively.

a little disappointing

There are some generally good concepts here. But, after reading her story I found it a little off putting that she claims to have been in a darker place than most other people will ever be. I had a hard time getting past that while listening to this
