Publisher's summary

This book is a collection of 10 short horror stories.
The Pantry in The Basement
A lot of people think that basements can be a bit on the scary side, but there was always something about that house with the blocked off pantry in the basement. Secret rooms aren't always a pleasant surprise for everyone, as Paul and Stephanie would learn.
The Girl Who Loved to Smile
Everyone talks about the importance of smiling. They say it makes you look more attractive and charming. What they fail to mention is that the reason for smiling can be more important than the smile itself. Everyone talks about how perfect Allie is, but people who know her are mysteriously dying. Will they see her much more sinister side before it's too late?
Ravens Wood Lane
A very mysterious street that has been responsible for a number of disappearances. Ronnie takes a wrong turn onto Ravens Wood Lane and never makes it back home. His girlfriend and her best friend Jessica go to investigate his disappearance, but they run into some trouble. Will they make it out of Ravens Wood Lane alive?
An Uphill Battle
Wesley is being plagued by strange, unknown forces that just won't leave him alone. He tries to sleep, but dark, shadowy figures call his name and begin to taunt him. He's not sure what they want, but he senses them getting closer and more serious with every passing hour.
Basement Roommates
Justin was excited to move in with his best friend Gilbert. Even though he suffered nightmares that warned him not to move into Gilbert's basement, he ignores them and follows through anyway. After they turn off the lights, Justin sees someone walking around in the basement. They might have a third roommate that they are not aware of.
A Visitor on the Doorstep
A family receives a strange visitor at the door, but it's not just any visitor.
Surveillance Overkill
Tom tries to convince himself that he is just being paranoid, but is he really being monitored that closely? They seem to know what he did. His past continues to haunt him, but he doesn't know who to trust. All he knows for sure is that there are people who want him dead, and it's only a matter of time.
The Abandoned House with the Tall Fence Seeking a cheap thrill, Jason and Daniel decide to investigate an abandoned house. But what they discover gives them much more than what they were looking for.
Alexis and Her Stalker
Alexis meets a guy at a party that she really likes, but things quickly take a turn for the worst.
A Midnight Stroll Through the Neighborhood
After experiencing insomnia, Stephan decides to go for a walk. Everything changes after he meets a mysterious man on a park bench.

Virtual Voice

I hate the virtual voice. It mispronounces words, uses inflection wrong, and is very monotone.
