Publisher's summary

The New York Times best-selling author of Vicious Cycle plunges listeners into a world of danger and desire in her newest in the Vicious Cycle motorcycle club romance series.

Looking for a walk on the wild side, Annabel Percy, the daughter of a powerful politician, gives in to an attraction to a sexy biker she meets one night. But she finds herself living a nightmare when she's kidnapped and transported into a hell on Earth she never could have imagined.

Born and bred into the Hells Raiders MC, Nathaniel "Reverend" Malloy lives and dies for his brothers. But when he becomes the unexpected savior of a rival club's captive, Rev makes it his personal mission to nurse Annabel back to health - and to shelter her from the nightmares that torment her. Once Annabel heals, she's stunned to realize she is falling for the seductive man who saved her. Faced with their impossible attraction, can she accept the life he leads, or will Rev walk away from the only life he's ever known for the woman he was never supposed to love?

Not a biker romance--but an okay love story

I buy almost all of KA books and this was no exception. This was not my favorite KA book. This is book 2 in the vicious cycle saga, I liked book 1 so much better. It was biker believable. I found this book lacking in the MC department. The characters are all too likable. The characters are definitely not your "badass biker" of other series. Yes, the is kidnapping, allusion to gun running etc. What you really have is a community of bikers that live life and love. This was an okay love story and I recommend it for those readers who enjoy love stories without a lot of substance.

A very good love story but....

Would you recommend Redemption Road to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes it's a very good lol be story

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

They did a great job

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes i listened to this book all in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

This book is a very good love story but it's not a good Biker Romance Book!! If u didn't know it was a MC Motorcycle Club Romance book u wouldn't be able to till. It could have been a lot better. Not the best MC Biker book. And there is not that much of Hot Steamy Sex and I wish there was more. But it's a good book overall.

Heroine castrates Hero(figuratively)

This novel is set around an ugly element, of the world; sex trafficking. Therefore there are scenes that include rape, pediatric sodomy and extreme violence against woman. In addition, there are torture scenes. Therefore, those with triggers beware. Wrapped up in all that ugly, is a touching story of two survivors refusing to allow their past to dictate their future or define their self image. The H/h become their own group therapy, and through bitter revelations, their souls begin to heal. This part of the book is well thought out and written. Unfortunately, the author forgets that our Hero is a President of a 1% MC club and is supposed to be an over protective, alpha male. Instead, she turns him into a pussy.(forgive the language) I’m not sure what happens but, all of the Sudden, the women, in the club, start informing their “old Men”, how the club is going to handle the situation. Yeah, I know, most MC clubs would tell the women, that it is, Club Business and go paint your nails or something. Nope, not kidding. Anyway, the touching moments are so good, that it makes this book worth the time you’ll spending listening/reading it.just overlook the weak parts of novel and enjoy the romantic ride,

fantastic story

obvious trigger warning for those who can't stomach stories involving human trafficking and sexual abuse, but beautifully handled, and worth attempting.

seeing Rev and Annabelle heal together was such a lovely thing.

Superb narration too!

Too slow

Took way too long to get going. Eliza's voice was just too sing songy. Kept hoping it would pick up. It never picked up. I will not get another book narrated by Eliza unless her voice changes.

Put the first book to shame

Loved it! Rev & Annabelle were wonderful together. I don't throw 5 stars around but this book definitely deserved them

Meh

The first book was good and I could hardly wait for the next book. But this one just Drags! Which is sad as this could have been a great story.

Narrator ruined it

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator for Annabelle was so incredibly bad I couldn't finish it. A rape story is pretty rough. I liked Katie's previous book in the series and was invested in the Rev character, but Annabelle was way too pathetic.

What other book might you compare Redemption Road to and why?

Maybe something that is so bleak and depressing that you can't see anything come out of it.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?

I will avoid any books narrated by these 2.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Irritation. I might have been able to finish it if the female narrator wasn't such a poor reader. It sounded like she didn't even understand the content.

Any additional comments?

How the director didn't catch that the show is called "Alice" not the actress who playing Flo? Really poorly produced.
