Team Cinderella has been sent into Russia to fake an assassination of a Russian Deputy Minister, in order to cover up the fact of his defection to the United States. They accomplish the mission, but then are compromised during their own escape and captured. They are quickly disavowed by the US Secretary of State, and sentenced to a public execution in Red Square only a week hence.

Noah, at Neil's urging, convinces Allison to let Team Camelot put together a fast rescue mission, but complications require Noah and Marco to break into Lefortovo Prison, where they are also captured.

Also disavowed, Noah and the rest seem to be doomed, but Sarah and Neil defy orders to launch a rescue mission of their own. Desperate for help that is refused by E & E, Sarah reaches out to the one person she swore she would never trust: Monique, the former mole who once arranged for her capture and torture at the hands of the Chinese. It's a race against time and seemingly impossible odds, with no way to predict what may happen next.

Great read

This is a good storyline. this was a little hard to listen to in the beginning, but once everyone was in place it was good

A great time for Russia to be bad

Another Wolf adventure delivering all that fans of the series expect. More time is spent on the political motivations of the antagonists, something of a departure from earlier books. That might be an effort by the author to expand the scope beyond the protagonist. I'm classifying it as an exploratory effort since the political machinations were disjointed, at times contradictory, and end up feeling improvised from a plotting point of view. Still a fun, quick read.

The author has written another great novel!

The author has written another fantastic novel full of intrigue and suspense! The narration is superb and brings the characters to life!

Wild time in Russia!

Even if Red Square were a poorly written novel, and it definitely is not, it would earn 5 stars on the author's plot creativity alone. The Noah Wolf series is now nine novels and a short story prequel. I believe Red Square is the best of a great series and it may be David Archer's best novel. Once again in this espionage thriller Team Camelot and Team Cinderella operate almost as if they are a single eight person team when Team Cinderella is captured and sentenced to death in Russia while enabling the defection of a high ranking Russian diplomat and his family. The shadowy Monique is also involved. Adam Verner narrates superbly. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Noah Wolf series.

David Archer is a very prolific author...

With three series going (Noah Wolf, Sam Pritchard and I Am Sal), you can almost bank on something of his coming out at least every other month or so. My favorite is the Sal books but there are only two of those so far. If you haven't listened to those I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.
As for this book (9th in the series, 10th book), this is another fast paced espionage story with all sorts of surprise situations to throw the reader off. Archer is generally good at making his book a little unpredictable. In this book he has Noah's wife Sarah calling a former antagonist for help when Noah is captured, thrown into a Russian prison and sentenced to death along with a few others from E & E, the government agency they work for covertly. They end up uncovering a Russian plot that could bring about another world war.
Adam Verner does an excellent job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Decent Book, but it is MI6, not M16

The book continues the adventures of Team Camelot and Team Cinderella, but the narrator continually calls it M16, not MI6 This is like fingernails on a chalkboard or someone continually saying irregardless. I cannot take it. If the MI6 agent appears in future books, I hope the narrator learns to say it properly. It is a British government agency, not a military rifle. Other than that, it was another good romp with the teams.
