Poetry, It’s a War Story

Listen to first 2 books, wanted to listen to the rest, but couldn’t get past all the poetic descriptions of everything. It made telling the story longer, took away from the actual action of the story without adding any real. If you’re taking the time to paint a picture of every scene, then none of them stand out.

This could actually be a great series if the author would have actually done some research on how the U.S. Navy fights Soviet submarines.
I appreciate the fact that he mentioned my National Guard Brigade , But we had M-1 Abrams at the time of this book.

I can't listen any more

Having lived through this time period in the military the story details are just too absurd. I know it is a pretend alternate history but the details are ridiculous, the characters stupid all to drive an alternate result.
