Publisher's summary

I love you too much to hate you....

Angelica Treviño was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen.

I wanted to make her smile, but I had no idea when she did, she’d steal my heart.

Sunset eyes, waves of golden-brown hair, cute little butt....

I’m ready to meet the family and put a ring on it.

Instead, I’m on the wrong end of a gun, her older brother threatening to kill me.

It all started with a kiss....

Deacon Dring is a cocky rich boy with ocean-blue eyes, sexy brown hair, and a chiseled body.

Soft lips that melt my knees, that melt everything.

As a child, my family said he was bad.

They made me promise never to see him again.

But one touch of his hand, one reckless kiss, and I broke that vow....

Many times.

Now we’re adults, and the price of lying is more than I’m willing to pay.

They say we can’t be together. I say try and stop us.

Reckless Kiss is a stand-alone, forbidden billionaire romance about two families who hate each other and the boy and girl who choose to love in spite of their violent past. No cheating. No cliff-hanger.

Absolute Perfection!

I read this book and loved it, but wow!! Is it even better in audio! I love Jason and Samantha bringing Deacon and Angel to life! It’s even steamier in audio. They ooze passion and emotion. It’s felt so deeply through the whole story! Their voices are exactly how I imagined them, and I was on edge (again!) listening to their story!

They have such a sweet and sexy romance…a long and enduring love! I had an idea of what this book would be…a cocky guy trying to win over the girl from the wrong side of town. But that isn’t it! They way these two come together, their journey and everything they have to overcome is powerful! Plus their chemistry is on fire! I can’t rave enough about this book. All the feels for Deacon and Angel!

Love versus Hatred

Tia Louise did a fantastic job with this modern day spin of Romeo and Juliet! Angelica and Deacon’s story is very emotionally charged and filled with lies, secrets, love and sexy times! I was surprised how both families were so willing to hold onto hatred and untruthful events spun by those who had the most to lose. It was only through Deacon and Angelica’s love for one another and their desire to defy the prejudices against their union that the truth is discovered. Jason Clarke’s deep, sexy voice gives me all the feels. Samantha Brentmoor brings Angelica’s emotions, desires, uncertainty and strength to life with her performance. I loved it!

Even better in audio!!

I read this book in record time but when the audiobook hit, I knew I had to have and listen immediately even though I'd barely finished my ARC. The narrators are just great! Jason Clark is an amazing Deacon. He strong and dominant and he shows it! Samantha Brentmoor nailed Angel! She comes off soft but had that steal behind her. The audiobook just brings them to life... I rated the book 5 stars and wish I could rate the audiobook higher because it adds this pulse that the ebook was missing. So FANTASTIC!!

Sigh… I just love getting a new book from Tia Louise. I try hard to hold back and not read it like a lush but it really can’t be helped. I’m obsessed. Louise created one of her deepest love stories yet. I was so entranced in Angel and Deacon’s story that I stayed up until 4am finishing this book. Angel and Deacon’s families are not friends… in fact; they dislike each other so much that you get the Hatfield and McCoy’s vibe. Just like the historical family feud, Trevino and Dring have some bitter grudges that seem to span generations.

I feel like we get just a smidge of Louise’s suspense in this book… I’ve missed it to be honest. The Dirty Players and the Bright Light series have been my favorites from her but now this one joins the older series. I loved the forbidden aspect of this story and the way Deacon started to unravel the story of his and Angel’s families past. Louise’s writing is impressive. The heat level was through the rough… perhaps it’s the forbidden aspect to it but Lord have MERCY… this was HAWT!

Perfection

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor were the most perfect voices for these characters. I really feel each narrator became one with each of these characters and brought them to life in a way that was pure perfection. I don't think I could have imagined better voices for these characters.

Deacon and Angel's story was just the perfect emotional, caught between two worlds story that was just such a magical escape. The way the author describes everything makes me feel like I am one with the story between the back drop and the thought processes of the characters and their feelings. Truly I was addicted and lost a night's sleep not wanting to let go of these characters and needing to know what was going to happen with no breaks. This book was an incredible read, an incredible escape and just pure romance magic.

Total swoony goodness with rich performances!!!

Audiobook: Narrators - Jason Clarke & Samantha Brentmoor

Oh my gosh!!! These narrators absolutely blew me away with their joint performance of Deacon and Angel!!! From the very beginning I was swooning over their voices, accents included, and the deep emotion they both gave to these characters and this story in general. I felt everything all the way to my bones and hated to have to pause or stop listening for any reason at all. I just found my new favorite audio duo!!!

This is a Romeo & Juliet story that had all the feels, the perseverance and the angst as this couple cling to one another amidst the results of actions taken long ago. From the moment Deacon and Angelica met as teenagers, they were it. Theirs was a once in a lifetime love that captured my heart immediately. This author has the ability to pull me in from the first page but never as much as she did this time.

Deacon was the perfect book boyfriend. All he saw was Angel and he was prepared to do battle against anyone or anything in order to make her his without any fall outs as a result of doing so. His determination made me love him all the more.

I loved Angel! She was fierce in her loyalty and protectiveness of Deacon just as much as he was of her. Watching her stand up for him and what they had was inspiring as were so many of the messages this story delivered that are conducive to this time in our current history.

This couple do not struggle within their relationship as much as they must deal with outside forces. Listening to this was much like a roller-coaster ride of emotions as I went from smiling and laughing at one point only to be twisted about and plunged into despair the next. I love when a book can make me feel it all!

Highly recommend this if you enjoy the Romeo/Juliet, Hatfield/McCoy type of romance. Add in a bit of mystery, lots of steam, and an epilogue that’s better than icing on the cake, and you’d be hard pressed to find a better audiobook.

Forbidden, yet sweet romance

Reckless Kiss is Tia Louise's newest stand alone about a couple with a feuding family. Angel and Deacon meet when they're teenagers and quickly fall for one another. They're together for years in secret due to a family feud, though neither knows how deep or serious this feud runs. Even though their families don't approve of them being together, they're not willing to give each other up.

I loved both Angel and Deacon but my favorite part of a romance is watching a couple fall in love. I feel like we missed that in this book. The couple was together from page 1 and it lacked that falling in love progression for me. Still, I very much enjoyed these two as a couple and loved watching their romance progress. I loved how devoted they were and that they weren't willing to let anything or anyone tear them apart.

I listened to the audio book of Reckless Kiss and it was narrated by Jason Clarke (who always does an incredible job) and Samantha Brentmoor (who was new to me, but did a great job) and they both voiced Deacon and Angel magnificently. The audio book was fantastic and I highly recommend giving it a listen.

Overall, I liked this forbidden, yet sweet romance. It had some Romeo and Juliet vibes but thankfully the ending wasn't tragic.

Deacon and Angel!

As a teenager not only was Angel dealing with a tragic loss, but she was ripped from the only life she had ever known and even though she was with family she felt alone. It all changed the day that fate brought her and Deacon together and from the first time they saw each other an unbreakable connection was forged that time, distance nor the objections of others could destroy.

Deacon was enchanted by Angel from the moment he saw her, and he knew that she was his other half and wasn’t about to let anything or anyone come between them and that included her family. They are told they can’t be together because of a dispute between their families but that only makes him more determined to uncover the secrets of the past with no regard to the wrath that it could unleash on him.

This is a story of two soulmates who know that they belong together and are resolute that their love will conquer all. Their journey is filled with emotion and obstacles but there is no doubting that they belong together. I thought the narrators did a great job with not only the story but the characters as well.

Reckless Kiss

I enjoy Tia Louise books📖🎧they’re always so good, this book didn’t disappoint but I felt it was a bit long winded. I’m a huge fan of Jason Clarke🥵his voice is so delicious, as for Ms. Brentmoor she was okay not my choice for this book her supposedly Mexican accent was not up to par…I should know Spanish is my first language. The storyline was good, just wish it would be a bit more spicier. Is it worth the credit? Yes, yes it is.😇

Captivating

This is a modern take on Romeo and Juliet. I had read the book in one sitting and really enjoyed it but hands down the audiobook was just phenomenal. Jason is one of my favorite narrators and he killed this book with his flawless narration. I was absolutely mesmerized. This was first time I have listened to Samantha and she also did a great job. I enjoyed her narration. Both these authors gave live to this story. Tia is a fantastic author. You just can go wrong with her books. Her writing is poetically beautiful and the story plot & characters were utterly Stunning and captivating . I really enjoyed this book.

Wow! Modern day Romeo and Juliet

I love Tia Louise’s books but this one blew me away. I was completely enthralled and captivated by this story from beginning to end. Tia does a great job developing all the characters in the storyline without distracting you from the unpredictable story. And good grief is it a sizzling relationship. Narration: Jason Clark is perfection as Deacon but his ability to play many characters is superb. I’m less familiar with Samantha Brentmoor but she not only nailed the role of Angelica but the other characters as well. Both narrators were seamless.
