Bittersweet story

This book is such a sad story that had some good funny moments in it so different from the first book but not underwhelming at all. Recommend 100% no doubt. Also an applause is too little for the amazing narrators that made me feel each and every emotion in this book, just a chefs kiss.

Absolutely Heartbreaking

(SPOILERS)
I hate Kitt with passion because of that ending. What. Why?? So he can torture Pae in the worst ways infront of Kai forever? He's evil.. I also hated the beginning. Mostly the first 21 chapters. The way they were so rough with each other and their first kiss broke my heart 😭 I didn't like how Kai lost his tenderness he felt for her in Powerless.. It was extremely difficult to deal with... But I'm glad that got fixed at the end even though I still can't forgive that.. Honestly I was so terrified Kitt would make Kai torture Pae or something so fked up like that. I would hate that even more. But.. He decided he's going to do that instead and hurt Kai along with it.. Forcing Pae to marry him?? I just think of the worst.. What if he forces himself on her and make her suffer that way.. The worst ways.. I doubt he's going to turn back to a kind king.. He's going to be worse.. Crazier more awful.. At least I'm really hoping I'm wrong. This book is full of angst. Written well if I do say so myself. But for me personally was hard to deal with the constant hurt they brought to each other. I'm very glad we found out a lot about Ordinaries, the Plague, Paedyn and Paedyn's dad.. And Ava, Kai's sister.. I would sum this book up as pretty depressing though. There wasn't much to laugh about or a silly banter. It was serious and it was painful 😅 but.. I'll read the last book and hope everything works out well in the end..

Kai Azer is the love of my life.

So I just fell even more in love with Kai than I did in Powerles. I’m telling you, this book boyfriend is the love of my life.
Lauren Roberts has such a beautiful way with words. This is the type of book that makes you want to pick up annotating even if you’re not that type of reader because the amount of beautiful dialogue is insane.
The banter between Kai and Paedyn is just as effortless as in the first book and the chemistry is sizzling.
The plot twist in the end was a bit predictable but still made me want to scream. I’m now sitting in agony waiting for Fearless to come out.
I highly recommend this book.

Heart wrenching

I love this series! The level of emotion it provokes and the twists and turns in the story are amazing. The depth of the relationship between the characters is so well developed and had me staying up way too late to finish just another chapter.....

Such a brilliant second book in the series

I really enjoyed the character development, relationship development and world building. I did feel like it was dragged out a bit too long at times, but overall it was an incredible book and I cannot wait for the best one!

Narrators were okay story average

This book annoyed me, i enjoyed it too but the story could have been better, it was sort of repetitive, and the end could have happened in the middle and just finish it good, but no, a freaking cliffhanger that im starting to doubt if its worth it..

Like a 16 year old emo got published

I couldn’t finish. The writing is so terrible. So many unnecessary adjectives, metaphors and similes. I can’t.
