Gotta love a rebel

The second book of this series features Timber who is Connor's brother and a bear shifter. If you read book one, and if you didn't, you should, then you know that Connor and his brothers are working security on the Koa Point estate and living on the nearby plantation of Koakea. They are all working secondary jobs in the community to allow them to keep their ears open for trouble. Tim has caught a coptor ride to Oahu with Connor to pick up his contractor's license and is taking a break at the mall food court when a beautiful woman catches his eye. She is obviously on the run and her white dress is making it a bit hard to remain inconspicuous. When he smells a shifter he decides she is going to need some help and his bear is going crazy for the woman, which is something he never does.

Hailey cannot believe that her mother has set her up for a public proposal and the wedding to directly follow her joyous acception. Not happening. She doesn't really even like the guy and she definitely does not want to marry the conceited jerk. With the two of them ganging up on her she does the only thing she can think of, she runs. Ending up cornered in the changing room of a sport's store she can't believe it when she is rescued by a hunk of a man that she only glimpsed as she shoved her way down an escalator. For some reason she feels safe with him and trusts that he will get her away from Oahu. Maui sounds like far enough away to hide for awhile. She will be able to get it straightened out in a few days, right?

Found what happens as a beautiful model goes native with an ex -special forces soldier. Tim knows Hailey is his mate, but he is pretty sure she is not going to be ok with the whole shifter thing. He decides to take what he can get and trust that destiny won't let him down. What could go wrong? Lol.

This series is great and I can't wait for the next story. Dell is such a great character and the one that is the most cynical about love. I was given an audio copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

I love this series I have listened to them all so far and Anna has become one of my favorite authors I love books like this and I love the detail in the scenes you can really imagine yourself being in her books 📚!!!!

Tim and Hailey

This is the second book in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series. Although I thoroughly enjoyed book 1, Rebel Dragon, this one is even better. OMG!! it is so good. I have a very long commute to work and was so into the book that I almost missed my stop. Good thing I get off the train at the end of the line. This was a really fun suspenseful listen. Loved Tim and Hailey and could not wait until they got together since it was obvious they really wanted each other based on their self talk. On the flip side, I could not stand Hailey’s stuck-up mother, Jonathan, and Lamar. This book kept me interested from the beginning right to end. I am also glad the other characters from Rebel Dragon were in the book. Ms. Lowe is so talented, I don’t know how she comes up with such good stories.

A lot happens during the course of the book and it moves along at a really good pace. As I have mentioned before, Ms. Lowe has a great imagination and a gift for storytelling. I HIGHLY recommend this series.

Hailey and Tim - Will She Stay?

This book about Timber and Hailey, we met Timber aka Tim in the previous book when he and his brothers arrived on this island paradise to work security for their friends. When Tim meets Hailey she is running, she got up that morning thinking she was going to be a Bridesmaid at the wedding of her boyfriend's sister. She had been planning on breaking off her relationship with Jonathan but didn't want to spoil his sister's wedding for him. So she enters the wedding space to find she's been ambushed, for want of a better word, Jonathan goes down on one knee and proposes so THEIR WEDDING can take place now!

This plan has been concocted by Jonathan and her mother (a really greedy, selfish piece of work in my opinion, she tries to tell them both NO but they won't take no for an answer the only option left to her is to RUN! Run she does straight into Tim who helps her ESCAPE and offers her a place of safety. Tim has already recognised her as his fated mate but how to convince her.

Hailey is invited to stay with Tim and help him fix up a property belonging to Boon, another bear shifter, did I mention Tim is a bear shifter? Whilst they spend a week together working on the property and getting to know each other Hailey is falling for Tim but Tim is holding back, could Hailey love a shifter?

When Hailey is attacked by a wolf shifter working for Jonathan Tim and his brother Connor save her but she is so frightened by the experience that Tim feels he can't tell her what he is. So despite a deep love on his part he decides to keep his secret and loose Hailey. But once again Destiny steps in and forces both their hands, the truth comes out in the most dramatic way, Anna Lowe never does things by halves, I was on the edge of my seat wondering how Tim and Hailey were going to survive this part of the story. I loved this book I loved getting to know Hailey and watching her character grow and I adored Tim, I can't look at a door frame now without thinking of him - you will know why when you listen to this book. I can't really say anything further without giving out too many spoilers, if you have read the blurb you know what to expect but whatever your expectations - this book will exceed them. I loved it

Aloha Shifters is by far my most favourite series to date, this book is the second book in Pearls of Desire, a follow on from Aloha Shifters but I personally think of it as one series. The writing style of Anna Lowe is so very good and easy to follow along, her descriptions of the places and the people make you feel like you've met them and the depth she gives to all her characters is just incredible her words paint a picture and that picture in painted beautifully by Kelsey Osborne who does the most amazing job of narrating this book. I can't praise her or Anna Lowe highly enough. Bring on the next book I say!

Won't disappoint

I'd already read/listened to Anna Lowe's other series and loved them. So I was excited to get Rebel Bear and start listening. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. The story flew by. I can't wait to get the rest of the series!

This is a fantastic story

Hailey Crewe is an up and coming supermodel who just wants a simple life but her scheming mother/manager goes to far with a surprise wedding to a man Hailey wants no part of. So she runs.
Timber Having is a bear shifter ex special forces working with a team of shifters when Hailey comes crashing into his life needing help.

And destiny plays it's game!
This was a great story! I just loved the characters and the bad guys well I loved hating them lol. The story line was fantastic it had action, drama, mystery, intrigue, betrayal, spice and so much more. I couldn't stop listening and didn't want the story to end. I am so looking forward to the next book coming out and seeing what the author has planned for this series! I am hooked and think you will love it.
I honestly loved it.

Grizzled in Hawaii

The narrator beings this story to life, from the descriptions and the characters emotions. As for the story, who wouldn't want to cuddle up with a teddy bear of a man. What if it turns out he shifts into a bear and you have a wolf shifter and other people after you. It makes for adventure and love and fighting for the one you love. I received a complimentary audio and I am voluntarily reviewing.

Really like the characters in this series

Nothing like finding out the man you like is not quite human. Fun to see how they work out a relationship.
