After a tumultuous career as a criminal defense attorney, Ellery Durand enjoys life without tales of drugs, death, and double-crossing. Until she wakes up one morning to find her bank accounts frozen, her face on the front page, and the peace she's come to treasure shattered in the wake of an FBI investigation. Can she convince the agent in charge to trust her? Can she trust the feelings that grow between them?

FBI Behavioral Analyst Sarah Flores has spent too many years investigating heinous crimes and welcomes a transfer to white-collar crime and the chance to have a life of her own. Her relief is short-lived when her first case involves a terrorist plot, and all signs indicate the terrorists' attorney constructed the framework of their evil conspiracy. Attracted to Ellery from the start, can she trust her instincts to lead her to the truth or will their attraction cast doubt on everything she holds dear?

I loved the story but the narration was nothing to write home about... especially when the narrator was trying to use a different sound for the different characters... in most cases she sounded like a robot and with a quicker paste...
if you can get over the narration than I recommend this book

Great story

What did you like best about Reasonable Doubt? What did you like least?

There are strong elements to this story, including a main character's deciding to branch out into a new life for herself. Alas, that is completely overshadowed by constant repetition of terrorism fears from Al Queda, sadly expressed unrealistically to drive up fear to bloat the story line. I must have heard the same lines repeated 20 times at least.

Any additional comments?

I'd have like to see the story re-written with a tighter script, with close attention paid to avoiding needless repetition and progression from point a to point b.

Lots of redundancy

This book is wonderful. But, it was an assault on my ears. Someone who thinks a defense attorney sounds like a linebacker has never been in court.

great story HORRIBLE storyteller

I never felt any chemistry from the main characters. Perhaps I'm attributing it to the robotic, monotonous narrator. I almost considered deleting and getting another book.

Narration ruined this story

This narration is terrible. I loved reading this book, and this audio just killed it for me. Her tone is aggressive and it actually hurts me ears.

Not a fan of the narrator
