Editorial reviews

The debut of Joanna Wylde’s series of tales from the Reapers Motorcycle Club is a lust-fulfilled discovery of what lives below the surface of mutual physical attraction.

Stella Bloom gives voice to a flourishing of the erotic tension between taking and giving. Biker thug Horse first claims Marie, who, having escaped from an abusive husband, has her body serve as the IOU when her brother’s dealings with a biker gang go bad. However, with a turn echoing episodes of the television series Sons of Anarchy the unlikely pair discover not just a mutual sexual satisfaction, but also an emotional intimacy neither could imagine.

Publisher's summary

Marie doesn't need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother's house one afternoon doesn't agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now. But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband, and she's not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse - she doesn't know his real name or where he lives, she's 90 percent certain he's a criminal and that the "business" he talks with her brother isn't website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he'd just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she's not interested in becoming "property of". Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants - at home, in public, on his bike... If she's a very, very good girl, she'll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he'll let her brother live. Maybe.

Worth the price

What other book might you compare Reaper's Property to and why?

The only other author I could compare these books to is Kristen Ashley. Her Motorcycle man series. So far they are the only really good MC books out there.

Any additional comments?

I love MC books but some writers just destroy them by making the bikers to uncaring or unfeeling. That is definitely not the case with The Reapers. If you love alpha males who love their women and are bad enough to care of anything that comes their way then this is a series you won't want to miss. L absolutely loved the character of Horse. He had his flaws but that only added to his appeal. He knew what he wanted and was determined to get it NO MATTER WHAT.
Marie was adorable. She had not a clue how to handle a man like Horse. She did her best and gave as good as she got. There were times when you wanted to shake her and others when you were thinking you go girl. The two of them had an instant chemistry. Which was a good thing or the story wouldn't have held for me.
This isn't a sweet book or your typical Happy Ever After. The men are rude, crude and all too often you want to slap the shit of them. But there is just something about a bad boy when he finally falls that you just gotta love. Was definitely worth the credit ot money. Highly recommend.

Great Story- not for the faint of heart

Would you listen to Reaper's Property again? Why?

Yes. I have and I will again. It is a good story. Very hot, and more complex than one would think at the start. It took me a bit to get into it because it is pretty hardcore. The author doesn't turn a MC member into a white night on a hog. They rough and unapologetic.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I like Picnic. And he finally has his own book. He is hot, hard, and also a protective daddy. I like older guys too.

What about Stella Bloom’s performance did you like?

She is a good fit for this story and I enjoyed her performance.

Great ride!

Where does Reaper's Property rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very good for this genre! Fantastic character development and the writer really takes you into the world of the Reapers. She's respectful of the characters, the club, does a great job helping the reader empathize. Hard to do, given some of the seedy stuff that goes on.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reaper's Property?

I loved the first party scene - it's the first time the reader really sees the Reaper World - scary, yet thrilling.

Which character – as performed by Stella Bloom – was your favorite?

The protagonist, thought she did a good job getting into her head and reflecting that in her inflections, etc...

Any additional comments?

Great writer - keep them coming.

Surprised

I was very surprised. Don't usually look or enjoy books like this. Having strong loving men that are determined to take care of their own and to be sensitive as well is awesome. Wish real life was the same!

Good MC romance but they're always too short

This is a typical MC romance. Biker meets too sweet woman who is appalled by the 1% lifestyle, at first, but falls in love and starts to understand the unity in club life. There are some hot love scenes, a rat in the club, some sweet butt drama and shoot out. So if the MC romance is your thing, you'll enjoy this. My only wish is to find a MC romance that is 20 hours long so there can be more of the good stuff.

Stella Bloom, the narrator, is as good as always. She narrated all of the Rock Chick's series and found myself having flash backs of that series, lol. Maybe I'll relistene to that series next.

Stella Bloom makes a really good story great

This is a good start to a series. Stella Bloom’s narration makes this plot & characters even better.

Kept Me Listening

The MC world is really an interesting culture, I enjoy a good story and this was. The story was there and so was the romance but the ending left something to be desired. I wanted more of an ending for the two main lovers. Also if you can't handle rough MC culture this series may not be for you. I could tell the Author did her research, and the narrator is the same for both the female lead & the male (the narrator is changed after this book). Totally worth getting into this series if you can handle some rough imagery towards women, I can and so I did enjoy this book.

Wow!! Loved it!

This book was such a surprise. In every good way. I'm leery of MC stories because the men are often just cruel and selfish. This one showed the alpha but also the kindness, courage, and loyalty. I was mad at the heroine for a time there, but it all resolved in the end. The bad guy was obvious, so a little bit predictable. Can't wait to read the next one. The performance was very well done. My only "complaint" is that I was on the edge of my seat for 8 hours!

Fear of the Reapers

Do you believe in love at first sight? Don't believe everything you hear about the Reaper. This one surprised me but I was very satisfied with the ending will be following this author

Loved this book!

I finished this so quickly. It pulled me in immediately. The only negative thing I could say is that in the beginning when it goes back and forth from future, past and present it was little hard to follow. i read books like that all the time but this one I didn't care for as much. Overall though, I really enjoyed it.
