Publisher's summary

Jordan Carpenter thinks she's finally found the perfect candidate for Jilted, a new dating show about runaway grooms: firefighter Luke Elliott, a known player who's left not one but three brides at the altar. The only problem? Luke refuses to answer Jordan's emails or return her calls.

Which is how she ends up on a flight to Montana to recruit him in person. It's not Manhattan, but at least the locals in Lucky Hollow seem friendly...except for Luke, who's more intense - and way hotter - than the slick womanizer Jordan expected.

Eager to put the past behind him, Luke has zero intention of following this gorgeous, fast-talking city girl back to New York. But before he can send her packing, Jordan's everywhere: at his favorite bar, the county fair, even his exes' book club. Annoyingly, everyone in Lucky Hollow seems to like her - and deep down, she's starting to grow on him too.

But the more he fights her constant pestering, the more Luke finds himself wishing that Jordan would kick off her high heels and make herself comfortable in his arms.

Contains mature themes.

Critic reviews

" Ready to Run is as sweet, sassy, and adorable as every Lauren Layne romance, and I'm head over heels!" (Sarah Robinson, best-selling author of the Kavanagh Legends series)

To much graphic stuff

Man, I really liked this book. REALLY liked it. There was just too much graphic bedroom stuff and I had to return it. If you don't mind that really graphic language then this is a great one.

I Fought to Finish This, Took Me Days!

Jordan Carpenter: If you like "stalker women" who want to expose your painful secrets and humiliate you on national television, share virtually nothing about herself and play the "wronged woman" when you decide you can't trust her, then Jordan is the woman of your dreams!

Luke Elliot, heroic firefighter and all-around good guy, apparently likes this type when she comes with stiletto heels and great legs. Seriously?!

Lucky Hollow: If you're looking for a small town where no one respects your pain and grief because all you need "is to get back to who you were before....." Where a total stranger is instantly accepted as their new best friend for barbecues, book club, and dishing about one of their own...then this is your kind of town. Yay!

And if you like a narrator, who through cadence and inflections, sounds like she's reading the news, you'll love this book.
