Publisher's summary

In the heart of West Texas, an ocean of troubles has come ashore — and the Loner is adrift in a sea of hungry sharks.

They came from the sea: a former ship captain named Owen Bird who inherited a Texas ranch from his brother.... A former pirate named “Black Terrance” Malone, who has arrived in the once peaceful Rattlesnake Valley with a crew of sea dogs to do his dirty work. And dirty work it would be, as Black Terrance begins a campaign of thieving and threatening, even targeting Bird’s beautiful young niece. Into this storm rides the Loner — Conrad Morgan, son of the legendary gunfighter Frank Morgan. The Loner sees what no one else does: a war born on the high seas and a third party is biding his time — waiting to strike a death blow on solid, bloody ground....

Performed by Ken Jackson, Eric Messner, Karen Novak, Tim Carlin, Steven Carpenter, Michael John Casey, Alexander Strain, Michael Glenn, James Lewis, Mort Shelby, Thomas Keegan, Yasmin Tuazon, Elizabeth Jernigan, Terence Aselford, Richard Rohan, Thomas Penny, Nick DePinto, Joe Brack, Johann Dettweiler.

Full Cast Drama. Nice!

I tried it because the price was right. Now I'm on Book 6 and the price is still right, Bob! I liked the characters and am now hooked on educated Eastern guy who takes on new identity after his bride was murdered and revenged in Book 1. They give a background so each book could be listened to out of order but I recommend starting from 1, because they're all similar. Good guy travels, helps people out, kills bad guys and moves on. Think of it as "Jack Reacher in western times." Hmmm.yeah. Anyway, good sound effects, music and narrator has good qualities, complimenting the story and cast instead of talking over and interrupting like other full-cast dramas sometimes do. If you like full-cast radio plays and Audible Originals, you'll probably like these.
