Kira Liebert’s brief taste of freedom beyond Vita Nova’s wall shatters when Patrol soldiers seize young Teddy, dragging him back to face certain death. With no choice but to follow, she returns to the city that branded her a traitor—only to be captured and cast into the Confines, the brutal prison where the condemned await execution. She emerges from the darkness bearing two impossible burdens: a blue rose on her wrist and a new identity as Victor Devlin's secret daughter.

Deep in the wilderness of the Unregulated Zone, Ghost refuses to surrender another soul to Vita Nova’s cruel ritual. A scarred and haunted man whose past with Devlin and Kira’s mother holds secrets that could topple Vita Nova itself, he knows the true cost of inaction. With Will, Brack, and Grace at his side, he plans a desperate rescue attempt. One final chance at redemption that could cost him everything.

As the clock winds down and the city watches her every move, Kira finds herself caught between two fathers on opposite sides of the wall—one who claims her as his own and one who refuses to let her go. Because while some fathers demand sacrifice, others stand ready to sacrifice everything.

RANSOM is the heart-stopping conclusion to the Reverence trilogy that asks: when everything you love is at stake, what are you willing to sacrifice?

After reading/listening to all 3 books in this trilogy I need to say that this one is my favourite, there is a character grow that I loved to watch since the first book till now, and another thing that deserves praise is that the author displays her faith and unashamed praises the Lord, and I will be honest, its refreshing to have a dystopian world, in reality a true Babylon and where you have faithful characters living there, but not being part of that world. Yes I really recommend this book to all ages, while the theme is very serious, faith prevails and with that there’s hope for the future.

I got the privilege to listen to the audiobook, and the person reading, Brittany Goodwin did a great job, and I can only praise her and say, sign me in in the next one ^___^ she was an amazing Kira and brought this book to life in a very good manner.

I got a free audible code from the author and this is my honest opinion.

the perfect ending to a trilogy

Ransom delivers exactly what a trilogy finale should—high stakes, emotional payoff, and an ending that doesn’t just satisfy, but lingers. From the opening chapters, the tension feels sharper, more urgent, as if everything has been building toward this final reckoning and it absolutely has.

What stands out most is the pacing. The story moves with purpose, pulling you quickly from one pivotal moment to the next without ever feeling rushed. Every choice the characters make carries weight, and you can feel that the author has been carefully laying the groundwork for this conclusion all along. The emotional intensity is especially strong here; relationships are tested, loyalties are questioned, and nothing feels guaranteed.

The ending is where "Ransom" truly shines. Just when it seems like the story is heading toward a predictable resolution, it pivots—delivering a twist that is both shocking and deeply meaningful. It’s not a twist for the sake of surprise; it redefines everything that came before it. Readers are left rethinking earlier moments, realizing the clues were there all along, hidden in plain sight.

Even more impressive is how the final chapters balance excitement with closure. There’s a sense of urgency and adrenaline as the story reaches its climax, but it never sacrifices emotional depth. The ending feels earned, not forced—both thrilling and reflective.

In the end, "Ransom" is a powerful conclusion to "The Reverence Trilogy". It rewards loyal readers with an unforgettable finale—one that combines suspense, heart, and a truly surprising ending that will stay with you long after the last page.

Excellent finish

Let me start by saying that "Christian" dystopian is not at all my genre of choice. But I do love a good end of the world as we know it story so after waffling for a month or so, I got all three books and started my journey.

I am horrible at reviews. So bare with me while I try and sum up this series.

What a ride this was. The intro to all the characters was exactly how you want to get to know your characters. Enough information to make you want to engage, not so much it feels like a Tolkien novel. Scenes were described in a way you could see your surroundings. The atmosphere palpable. And while I was leery of how the story would interject religion, it disbursed little bits and pieces of it throughout without being preachy or self righteous. I cried in spots. I got angry in spots too. And as much as there were places that tended to drone on, I loved getting to know all of the characters and follow them on their journey. To the Author: Thank you for a great read.

DANG IT RAENA!

The series started so well but turned into a pile of redundancy and ridiculous lovey dove. I couldn't even finish the book. Come on get a ongoing plot or stop with the first book. The female character turn into a weak whining girl.who was hard to stomach.
