Not what I was expecting, but even BETTER
I love this book!! I did not read the authors summery of this book before I started it. I just went all in as I know the author personally. I am not exactly sure what I was expecting but this was even better than what I had imagined based on the title and cover. I think I was expecting a softer approach, but this book is like life, raw and gritty as are the characters. What a wonderful and imaginative way to open the doors to the "Greatest Story Ever Told". There are so many twists and turns and highs and lows it almost takes one's breath away. Kind of like a coming of age but a realization of something so much greater. The characters are all great, well thought out-each in their own way growing as the story moves on and coming to terms with life as it was, is and will be. I appreciated the matter of fact thinking of Ramses in the later chapters of the book and then the realization of something greater than him and greater than he deserved. I can't wait for the next book from D. Axtell Boyd!!
