Warwick, Jack, Samuel and Zofia return for a second series set in their unique restaurant deep in the Fens, where they've been having a very interesting year. As well as dealing with the arrival of a worrying stranger at their doorstep, with a specific request, they've experienced heavy rainfall flooding, discovered some treasure guarded by a sinister ghost-dog and fuelled father-and-son rivalry when Warwick challenged Jack to a roller-skate vs. bicycle race to the cathedral door.
By Nick Warburton. Directed and produced by Claire Grove, starring Trevor Peacock.
I trawl the internet trying to locate back series of On Mardle Fen - and I was so delighted to find this. This is a wonderful series - well written, wonderfully cast and so so funny (and poignant on occasions). I tend to think us old codgers of 50/60 will find the humour more in line with our way of thinking than the young - but if I could give it more than 5 stars I would...Listening to Series 1 useful as it sets the scene but all episodes stand alone.

The actors are wonderful; the storylines are brilliant. I am transported to another place. Thank you.
I loved this series so much I bought all three! Outstanding actors in all roles, and fantastic script from one of our greatest radio playwrights. I love the music too. It's a real treat from start to finish. Wander onto Mardle Fen and you never know what will happen next.
