Character-based comedy

These episodes mostly involve just two people, a middle-aged HR man and a rather difficult colleague. They are very well written and extremely well acted. I recommend this highly, and I'm glad I stumbled across it.

Radio 4 at its best

Such a great series, you can't help but feel fond of Sam and Peter as you listen. It is a refreshingly different script bought to life by just 2 actors for most of the time. They really bring out the subtle humour in the situations which don't rely on the same old cliches. I can't imagine that anyone would be dissapointed by this audiobook. It is the sort of humour that does not age and is still funny after many, many, listens! Really hoping that we will see the following series on here soon (please!!).

Laugh out loud

Yes, a definite 'laugh out loud' for me - and there don't seem to be so many of those around nowadays. This must be one of those jobs which the actors involved must love to do. Most of the time there are only the characters of Sam and Peter, but the writing and, of course the subsequent interpretation by the actors, make it a real listening pleasure.
