Publisher's Summary

When beautiful Angelina Foley presents Tom Radigan with a Spanish grant and claims ownership of his land, he realizes he's up against a cunning and deadly opportunist. Foley wants him off Vache Creek immediately, and with 3,000 head of cattle, an outfit of hardcase gunfighters, and winter coming on, she is unwilling to take no for an answer.

But Radigan has worked four hard years building up his ranch. Fighting for it - and, if he has to, killing for it - is something he is more than willing to do. If Angelina Foley and her men think he is the kind of man to give up without a fight, they are dead wrong.

Action Packed - Exciting!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! Louis L'Amour is a great story teller; outdoing himself with "Radigan".

What other book might you compare Radigan to and why?

The best of Louis L'Amour. Radigan kept my interest form beginning to end. I didn't want it to end.

Have you listened to any of Jason Culp’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, Culp is a good choice for westerns. His performance was outstanding in Radigan.

If you could take any character from Radigan out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Radigan! He's handsome and powerful with a strong sense of what is right. Although a fast gun he will keep from killing if there is any other way. He is a strategist with more patience than an Indian.

Any additional comments?

I've been a Louis L'Amour fan for years, but Radigan was exceptional. Known for his description of characters, horses, terrain etc. and with Jason Culp's narration it's as if you are there. I could almost feel the cold when they were hiding out in the trees and on the mesa when the snows came.

I highly recommend Radigan. It should appeal to many, going beyond the western genre,

Superb storyline; the reader was less

Storyline was fantastic. The man reading it wasn't my favorite. I don't know, just cane across like a machine recording. Just my honest opinion.

fair not impressed with this one

story seemed choppy. I was disappointed. Everyone is not going to do the quality of the my favorites - The Sacketts every time he sat down to write.

Great story

What a wonderful glimpse into a time gone by. Louis L'Amour tells such believable tales. His descriptions of the lonely and harsh lands make the scenery part of the story and not just dry words. Radigan is an honest man trying to make an honest living. in a harsh country. I fell in love all over again just listening to Jason Culp's narration. This will not be my last L'Amour listen.

Lamour

All others are either stilted or imitation, storyline, economy of language, sense of presence all contribute to the feeling that you are there.

An enjoyable listen!

It was a different book compared to his other westerns, but I enjoyed his explanations for how the characters were working through the various scenarios. It was a fun listen and I was hooked early on.

Fun on the range

I’ve never heard or read Louis Lamour before. I enjoyed going to the movie to watch westerns as a child. Thought I would give it a try. As it turns out I thoroughly enjoyed the story and narration. I was stuck in a rut listening to and reading book about the military. What would you expect from a retired US Army Infantry Officer. I’m definitely going to be reading more western novels. Going to reprise my youth.
