Very interesting story with the Hawaiian setting

Predictable. Occasionally not plausable. A nice story with loose ends neatly tied together by ending.

This was unexpected. A delightful mix of history and fiction. I enjoyed following the lives of the radar girls. I laughed. I cried. I could feel myself there at times with the vivid descriptions of the scenery

Historically engaging!

I loved the strong woman, comrades, history, horses, aviation, war, love, loss, family connections & conflicts all wrapped up in an engaging storyline.

World War II and women

I really enjoyed this book, not only because it shows what women did to support the war, but the location.
We lived in Oahu in the late 70’s, and visited many of the sites mentioned in the book. Many of the pronunciations and locales brought back such warm memories.

Talk about girl power you go girls!!!!!

That was an excellent book. I just hope those girls got all the recognition they so richly deserved. Sara Ackerman did a wonderful job of telling a truly amazing story. Cassandra Campbell did an excellent job of narrating this book. Thank you both. I look forward to more of this kind of great book.

Fabulous insight into what the real radar girls might have experienced

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It made me pause to imagine what the Greatest Generation went through in WW II. Loved the women’s friendships.

Also, the narration was very well performed!

Brave Girl

I loved this story of courage. Brave girls who helped our war cause. It was witty, friendly, and forgiving all in one. true signs of living life to the fullest.

Worth reading!

I really like the story, but very much disliked the Audible performance. If I hadn't enjoyed the story itself so much, I probably wouldn't have finished listening to it, the performance of it was that bad.

Excellent story

This story set in the days of Pearl Harbor in Oahu kept my attention all the way through. Being from the Hawaiian islands myself, I enjoyed hearing a historical fiction tale with flavors of the island peppered throughout it!
