Acerca de esta escucha

Eddie Hyatt's former book, 2000 Years of Charismatic Christianity, provided inspiration and validation for revival movements around the world after it was first published in 1996. This present volume Revival Fire: Discerning Between the True & the False is a follow-up to that book and consists of Dr. Hyatt's mature reflections on the state of spiritual renewal in America and the world today. He shows that the way forward is by striking a healthy balance between Word & Spirit and by taking the time to learn from revival/renewal movements of the past. He offers guidelines for discerning between true and false revival and shows how spiritual manifestations can be from God, from Satan, or can be mere cultural, religious expressions. Dr. Trevor Grizzle, Professor of New Testament at the ORU Graduate School of Theology, says, "This book is life-giving bread to those who hunger for genuine revival. It is the most biblically and theologically balanced volume I have read on the topic." Espiritualidad Estudios Religiosos Teología

My primary critique of this book is that it felt too short—I found myself wanting more. To my surprise, I genuinely enjoyed it more than I anticipated. I often begin books and fail to finish them, either because they’re difficult to follow or simply unengaging. However, this book held my attention throughout and addressed many topics that deeply resonated with me.

As someone who attends a Pentecostal church, I’ve often struggled with certain expectations placed on us. This book helped me realize the importance of comparing church teachings with what the Bible actually says about salvation and Christian living. I highly recommend this book to anyone who regularly attends church—it offers valuable insight and encourages thoughtful reflection.

So much better than I excepted
