Outstanding

Tbh I rarely finish books when I start reading (or listening) to them. This one kept bringing me back. I loved Angela’s story, tales with her family, & awkward anti-queer encounters that make me feel less alone. What is so special about this book is the way the wisdom of goddesses, spiritual figures, & activists are woven throughout the chapters. I am still sitting with the imagery of Guanyin & her webbed fingers so that none slip through her care. The ending is deeply emotional, raw, and a beautiful tribute. I can’t remember the last time a book had me crying. 100/10 and I look forward to more by this author.
