Brilliant Worsley

A beautifully written book by Lucy Worsley. Not complicated at all and very easy to listen too. I highly recommend if you are interested in Queen Victoria and this era.

A look into Victorias life and how much it changes

Really good idea to look into specific days in her life, it gives a much better understanding of her as a girl, woman and old lady. I really enjoyed this book and even though I wish Lucy had read the whole thing herself (I love her voice because I watch her documentaries often), it was still worth every minute.

Great holiday story

I really enjoyed this book. Chose it after viewing Lucy Worsley on a TV programme about the history of romantic fiction. It didn't disappoint. The narration was very good, free from a shrill pitch that I have encountered in previous audibles. Choose this book if you enjoy historical content and intelligent prose. Thanks Lucy, loved it.

well worth a read - very thorough

really enjoyed this foray into 24 days of the life of queen victoria, painting a "warts and all" picture of a woman who oversaw so many shifts and changes (good and bad) so you're constantly changing your mind about how you feel about her. Lucy W's writing style is really enjoyable and her passion shines through as usual for really leaving no stone unturned when examining Victoria, her strengths and weaknesses, and her life.

I love anything Lucy Worsley writes

This was beautifully narrated and easy to become absorbed in the life of Victoria. It seems to me that the listener was given insight into the many aspects of the queens life and loves without being forced to like or dislike her.

Priceless listening to a superb narrator.

This is one of the most enjoyable reads I've experienced yet. I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone, whether history buff,or,not. Excellent narration. Lucy Wolseley is stupendous,as is Lucy Paterson. I might listen to this again. It's worth holding onto for a while. Some narrators are irritating. Here, they are positively top class.

Very entertaining and informative. Kept you interested the whole way. I'm sure our current Queen would not go on holidays for two months in Europe.

Victoria Regina - Do you really know her?

I absolutely loved this book. Written with humour and insight by Lucy Worsley and narrated by the talented Lucy Paterson.
Highly recommended.
