When Harriet moves to Bentwood to teach gifted students, her life doesn't go as planned. Between her haunted rental and her oddball neighbor, Lucy—who literally won't go away—Harriet is left questioning her own sanity. The beautiful Kelsey, whom she meets at the farmers market, offers the distraction she needs. Well, that, and the town's Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)—or pyramid-scheme.

The enigmatic group of women selling wellness in the form of Serenitea, with their perfect hair, flawless skin, and piercing eyes. She is drawn to the tea, the wellness, the tranquility . . . So what if she has to sell a few bags of tea?

You have a new descendant.

Sinking deeper into Serenitea, Harriet can't stop drinking the tea. She keeps getting emails about new descendants—whatever the hell that means—and the gym teacher, Harold, is giving serious pervy vibes. Even Lucy joins the MIM despite claiming the women are vampires. None of that matters, though, because Serenitea makes her feel . . . well. Tranquil.

Until Lucy disappears and Harriet's world begins to crumble.

Is Serenitea really a bunch of beautiful vampires? So what if they are? How far will Harriet go for tranquility?

Are you well?

While I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, I finished the last page with a long list of questions. The ending feels less like a final curtain and more like a cliffhanger, leaving me wondering if there’s a sequel in the works to tie up all those loose ends. There’s quite a few characters that I would’ve loved to know more about or just even a few things explained. The part where Lucy is selling the bug pants hit a little too close to home for me. Having actually fallen for a few pyramid schemes in the past, I had a flash of total recognition. I once bought leggings from a woman who—I kid you not—was legitimately trying to sell a pair covered in bugs! Seeing that same level of absurdity captured on the page was both funny and a bit of a reality check on some of my own past retail choices. It’s funny, relatable, and just the right amount of ridiculous.

This is the most ridiculous book I have ever read! The plot was weak as were the characters

I really enjoyed the book. It’s full of twist and engaging. I keep wanting to listen more and find out what’s next. The narrator did a wonderful job as well! If you are into MLM & haunted house, this is for you

LOVE IT

I really enjoyed this book because I could relate to Harriet and her inherent distrust of the Tea Ladies 😅 I loved how the plot and romantic sub-plot played out too.

The humor is top notch
