This episode of The Green Hornet first aired on July 4, 1939.

The Green Hornet debuted on a Detroit station, WXYZ, on January 31, 1936, and later aired on the Mutual and ABC Blue networks until its final broadcast on December 5, 1952. The masked crime fighter was the secret identity of newspaper publisher Britt Reid, who relied on his valet, Kato, and a supercharged roadster, the Black Beauty. Al Hodge portrayed The Green Hornet during the series' first seven seasons, followed by Donovan Faust, Robert Hall, and Jack McCarthy. The series was created by the same team that brought The Lone Ranger to the air.

A Modern Style Story of Industrial Espionage.

What made the experience of listening to Put It on Ice the most enjoyable?

The actors and narration was spot on perfect for their roles!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Put It on Ice?

The part where the Green Hornet catches the criminals in the end and makes his escape... As usual!

Which scene was your favorite?

In the beginning the owner of the meat wearhouse was more concerned for his employees than the product, as it ought to be!
