Publisher's summary

The action begins six days after a series of explosions devastated Washington, D.C., targeting the National Counterterrorism Center and killing 185 people, including public officials and CIA employees. It was a bizarre act of extreme violence that called for extreme measures on the part of elite counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp and his trusted team member, Mike Nash.

Now that the initial shock of the catastrophe is over, key Washington officials are up in arms over whether to make friends or foes of the agents who stepped between the enemy's bullets and countless American lives regardless of the legal consequences. Not for the first time, Rapp finds himself in the frustrating position of having to illustrate the realities of national security to politicians whose view from the sidelines is inevitably obstructed.

Meanwhile, three of the al Qaeda terrorists are still at large, and Rapp has been unofficially ordered to find them by any means necessary. No one knows the personal, physical, and emotional sacrifices required of the job better than Rapp. When he sees Nash cracking under the pressure of the mission and the memories of the horrors he witnessed during the terrorist attack, he makes a call he hopes will save his friend, assuage the naysayers on Capitol Hill, and get him one step closer to the enemy before it's too late.

Once again, Rapp proves himself to be a hero unafraid "to walk the fine line between the moral high ground and violence" (The Salt Lake Tribune) for our country's safety, for the sake of freedom, for the pursuit of honor.

"Flynn demonstrates that he truly understands the psyche of the enemy.... Really scary, so realistic." (BookReporter.com)

Love this series

I have listened to all of the Mitch Rapp books and really like this series. I think all of Flynn's books are well researched. I didn't feel that it was a rehash of the previous books. There was some description of what took place in the previous novels, but by no means was it excessive. I would recommend listening to the series from the begining. I'm hooked and can't wait for the next one.

Almost EVERY detail is thought out

GREAT BOOK .....this is an awesome series!! So far I have only seen 2 missteps ...1st was in previous book when Mitch's house did not have motion camera's and s surveillance on the roof...and of course outing Nash in this book would put his family in more danger; Mitch knows that 1st hand through his loss of Anna.

Unabridged is the best

I love all of Mitch Rapp novels. The unabridged versions on audible are, without a doubt, the best. I've always felt like these very many abridged versions that are on audible.com do so much to take away from the story. This version, which is unabridged, is outstanding.

Pursuit of Honor

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Mitch Rapp is a fantastic Hero character to follow. If you like hard hitting no bull type characters, this is the series to follow.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mitch Rapp, he is tough, hard hitting, with a heart. He has had personal loss and takes killing the bad guys very personally. He won't rest til they're all dead :)

Which scene was your favorite?

When he wins

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Mitch gets the last word with the bleeding heart liberals.

Any additional comments?

George Guidall does a fantastic job with all the characters in this series. I love the way he makes Mitch Rapp sound like the bad ass that he is.

Too quick ending

V Flynn did his usual of creating an overly detailed buildup to an abrupt culmination that leaves several loose ends and overly sweet endings for his main characters.

Another good Flynn book

I've listened to all of Vince Flynn's "Mitch Rapp" books and I've liked them all. This one is not quite as intriguing as the earlier books, but if you are a Mitch Rapp fan, it's worth the listen.

solid 4 with fews comments

overall very good, solid good plot points, great pacing. 2 things stood out. There was too much the whole Senator Ogden was there the. never commented again. Same goes with the bad guys 2/3's through the leader was a bumbling idiot but on the plot point where he lost his guide he suddenly knew how get e everywhere. Solid good book took me longer than normal to get through because I'm tiring of the plot it's basically the same just different bad guys.

Another Outstanding Vince Flynn Thriller

The late Vince Flynn Was an outstanding writer of action novels that contained contemporary political and international Intrigue that never seem to change. He developed characters well and did significant research into the religious make up of Muslim extremists Who comprise a small minority of Muslims but also reflect the false narrative of their motives for killing people. I’m not sure when that will change but I am greatly saddened that Mr. Flynn past away way too early in life.
