Terrific read!

It’s heartbreaking to hear most people pray today. I’m usually left with the impression they are merely complaining to a God they don’t even know, gossiping to everyone within earshot, lecturing to someone, or giving God their to-do list, always in hopes of changing an unfavorable situation or someone other than themselves. Christ warned he road to heaven is narrow and few will find it. This little book can help people find it and secure some of the rewards that accompany the Kingdom!

This is a Great resources to inspire us to pray unceasingly I would recommend as good reading.

Great book and Fantastic Narraration!

I’ve always heard that E.M. Bounds was a prayer afficienado, and the wisdom within this work provides the proof. The narrarator did an incredible job with this 100+ year old work, alternating between accents with each different quote.

Needed encouragement and clarity

I truly enjoyed this deep look at the purpose of prayer and it’s place in the life of the believer. I appreciated his emphasis on our role, and obligation to the ministry of the church through prayer. It cannot simply be the work of the pastor to pray and to preach the gospel. Effective ministry is made so because of the work of the Holy Spirit in response to the prayers if God’s people. We have access to the throne of heaven! A privilege, an inheritance, a duty. I will definitely listen again.

I loved the quotes and stories of many faithful Christians practicing prayer. Know that this narrator chooses to set the recounting of saints of the faith in prayer apart by changing the voices. It was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it once I got used to the idea.

I liked all the examples. How it spanned time. Very compelling, interesting and informative. Would recommend.

E. M. Bounds did not have equal when writing on this fascinating subject but Jesus Himself.
The narration is perfect for the subject . A must listen to book. Hands down to this great narrator . Get the book, you won’t regret it

To overcome

this book shares the power and perspective of prayer by many many great saints of times past. It is a must read for anyone wanting encouragement for a richer deeper prayer life. Most encouraging, convicting and propelling!!!!
