Born a Jew, he became a Catholic and found the authentic community he sought in Greek Orthodox fishermen and sponge divers.

amazing insights to life...
author, narrator and subject the best. Robert Lax was quite a unique man/artist and the author did such nice job in helping the reader feel like they knew Lax and his experience of the world intimately.
