Not applicable to USA. Non-psilocybin mushrooms discussed at length. Nothing novel offered.

As a newcomer to the world of psychedelics, I’ve have listened to several books on the topic recently. Unfortunately, I purchased this book along the way. Nearly everything in this book Psilocybin in this book is regurgitated from more well-known books. Very little novel information is offered in the book. Further, the author spends a great deal of time discussing non-magic-mushrooms, which is not the topic of the book and is not appropriate to spend time on. I’m not sure where the book was written, but it focuses on Spanish laws and Spanish realities of this drug and hardly mentions the USA. Interesting topics like what the experience of the trip is like, and the effects on mental health, are barely touched, and what is stated is just a reprint of the same studies that every book on psychedelics repeats (Johns Hopkins studies, etc…). I have no idea why this book is rated so highly. I’m guessing people just enjoy and support magic mushrooms and they rate this book highly by default to support magic mushrooms. However, it is not a good book and it is far too short. It’s a waste of 1 credit. Find another longer and more popular book.

What the heck.

This isn’t so much a book as a collection of essays. They don’t follow a sequence that makes sense. There are whole chapters of information that are probably not of interest to anyone who thinks they want this book. Really disappointed.
