Publisher's summary

He’s a shifter who is determined to keep me safe, but I don’t want his protection...

Forest Heights was supposed to be a fresh start where I could put the past behind me. But when my ex-husband pays me an unexpected visit, my peaceful existence is torn to shreds. If a restraining order won’t keep him away, I don’t know what will.

My ex isn’t my only problem. Hutch, a bear shifter with a playboy streak, has made it his personal project to keep me safe. He thinks I need his protection, and he won’t take his eyes off me.

But I’m used to taking care of myself. It doesn’t matter how sexy Hutch’s simmering hot gaze is or how convinced he is that we’re meant to be together - I’m done with men.

Except my ex-husband isn’t done with me yet. He’s using someone close to me to watch my every move, and he won’t stop until he destroys me. And whether I like it or not, Hutch will do anything to help me, including mending my damaged heart...

Loved it

I definitely recommend reading these books in order. The storyline contained the right amount of action and romance. I idea that every male shifter is a man whore was one negative in this series. Kim had a ruff beginning where she almost became on of the motorcycle groupies; however, she turned her life around.

A basic storyline was good if you can get past listening to the male narrator it took me forever to get through this book because I just couldn’t stand listening to him

Loved

The narrators did a wonderful job.

Loved the storyline and loved the chemistry between the characters.

Look forward to seeing what other books in the series have in store.

On my last nerve!

Ok...I love shifter romance books, and I like Roxie Ray's books but this main female character was just stupid. Ex-husband stalking her and she is still acting like an idiot by throwing the help and protection that Hutch is willing to give back in his face. It's like she was being obstinate just for the hell of just doing it. It got on my nerves. I'm sick of these supposed "strong and independent" female characters being too stupid to see that running off when they're in danger and putting themselves and others in harm's way is selfish and thoughtless. They are always getting themselves in more danger just to prove that they're "strong" and can handle things themselves but end up getting other people hurt in the process. It's like...."Dont go out there. There is a killer in the yard." Then this idiot says "You're not my boss. I can take care of myself." Que in the idiot chic and she leaves the PROTECTION that shes in and runs outside...and GUESS WHAT HAPPENS! YEP..you guessed it...the killer gets her and either hurts or kills the person trying to save/rescue her (insert eye roll). I struggled with this book because Kim was that ididot chic. Hutch shouldve just let her deal with her Ex on her own. Like she demanded from the beginning of the book! Got a couple hours left and I'm already losing interest. Considering getting my credit back!

Horrible narrator’s

The female narrator whispered throughout the whole book and the male narrator seemed like he was so annoyed that he had to put extra umpf in his parts.
