I enjoyed how it brought the story to life. I have read the book and loved it also.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jordan ~ He is a true alpha male but also has this huge romantic side and he never gave up on what he wanted.

There was no favorite . The Narrator did a fantastic job

hahaha there were times i'd love to have thrown Jordan in a lake

Another "must listen to " by this talented author

Each and everyone of the stories in this series, grasp you from the moment you start them. All have alpha male and strong female characters. In all their alpha mode , their are very protective and sweet.
This one is no different and just as engaging.
Vincent Hansen, former Navy SEAL and member of Red Stone Security, and Jordan Alvarado, have a history.
Seven years ago , they were in love but when she suddenly disappears, he was left heartbroken and shocked. She had reasons to disappear he never had known.
When she reappears he is still mad, and fears she will break his heart again. When she’s threatened he steps in to keep her safe.
The plot is engaging, the characters complex and the romance hot. There are moments with family members that will also bring a smile.
The narrator, Sophie Eastlake does an excellent job with the delivery.
Another great addition to the Red Stone Security series.

The characters are strong-minded and compelling. The action is non-stop and the plot twist kept you guessing. All I can say is I want more! If you enjoy a suspenseful story with an Alpha male and a feisty female, this is the book for you. Sophie Eastlake does a wonderful job narrating Protecting His Witness. Listening to this audio book made for an exciting experience.

A nice read.

A couple who really love each other makes for an enjoyable read. I wish these books were just a bit longer with more interaction between other characters in the series and maybe some more action. Otherwise its still a nice series.

A High-Octane, Sexy, Romantic Thriller!

What did you love best about Protecting His Witness?

This tale is an original take on a second chance at love story. It is a fast-paced, sweet and spicy book, full of high stakes action. Once I started it, I did not want to put it down.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved both the characters and they made for an engrossing story. Both of these characters are strong-willed and compelling. Vincent is an Alpha male with a capital A and Jordan is a Fiery damsel in distress with a capital F. Even though Vincent doesn't understand why Jordan didn't give him a chance to decide if he wanted to join her, he's still determined to keep her safe.

I have to mention the villain in this one. He was a stalker who gave me the chills.

What does Sophie Eastlake bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator, Sophie Eastlake, delivered a solid, well-paced performance. She has a clear, pleasing voice that is easy to follow. Her performance had me on the edge of my seat gasping at the same time I was swooning. She delivered both female and male genuine- sounding characters and brilliantly differentiated between the characters so I never had an issue knowing who was speaking. I would not hesitate to pick up an audio that she has narrated.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I alternated between gasping and swooning... The scene near the beginning when Jordan re-enters Vincent's life, almost made me cry.

Any additional comments?

This installment is an emotional riveting rollercoaster. Will the killer targeting Jordan hit his mark? Can Vincent and Red Stone Security save her? Their story will keep you guessing until the very end. I highly recommend PROTECTING HIS WITNESS to anyone who enjoys high-octane, sexy romantic thrillers. You really can't go wrong with any of her Red Stone Security books. This is positively one of my favorites!

What other book might you compare Protecting His Witness to and why?

As one book in a series, I'd definitely recommend reading the entire Red Stone Security series. The story lines are all different but since they exist in the same world, you have a similar formula... and you often get to re-visit with characters from the previous books, which is always a bonus!

Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

My first Sophie Eastlake performance was on Red Stone Security #7, Breaking Her Rules. I love Sophie's many voices and her interpretation of each character.

I actually loved all of this book, I am a huge fan of Katie Reus and look forward to any books that she writes.

This was my second time reading this book and I had the great pleasure of listening to Protecting His Witness on audio.

I will say that I enjoyed this book just as much the second time as I did the first time.I enjoyed Vincent & Jordan’s story. They both were so in love with each other. But when Jordan disappeared over night Vincent was left with a broken heart and no answers. When Jordan reappears out of nowhere Vincent has a hard time keeping his feelings in check. He can’t decide if he is mad and wants to push Jordan away or grab her and hold her tight so she can never leave again.

Sophia does a pretty good job narrating this book. I think that she told the story very well and she did great justice to Jordan’s voice. But when it came to Vincent’s voice it was a little off to me. I can’t quite put finger on it but there was just a little something off. It didn’t take away from the story, but was just something off.

I look forward to more of Katie’s Red Stone stories. I will be watching for them on audio too.

Another FABULOUS listen from Katie Reus!!

Katie Reus has very quickly risen in the ranks of my keepers ~ I now own all her books on my Kindle AND in audio, they're that fantastic. In this latest installment in her Red Stone Security series we focus on Vincent and Jordan, who at one time were madly in love. But Jordan witnesses something awful and unexpected ~ and while she and Vincent are crazy for one another, can she really ask him to leave his family, his LIFE behind for her?
It's been years since Vincent has seen Jordan ~ who left him with not explanation. He wants to hate her...but the second he sets eyes on her it's like they were never apart.

FABULOUS story ~ one of the things I like best about Katie Reus is how she can pack a full, emotional love story into a novella. That takes mad SKILLS! And she does it every time, lol. I loved Vincent and Jordan, the way they had to struggle to come back together ~ and the way Vincent was ready to step up and stand for her when she is threatened. Fabulous story, truly great narration ~ you can't go wrong with this one! It'll satisfy your romance AND suspense craving!!

Can't wait for MORE Red Stone Securities stories!
