Publisher's summary

Cookie "Hunter" Knox was good at his job, infiltrating behind enemy lines was one of his specialties. His SEAL team relied on him to do his job, just as he relied on them to do theirs. Ever since two of his teammates found a woman that completed them, their dangerous Ops seemed a bit more intense. Cookie knew if he had a woman who belonged to him, he'd never let her go. Little did he know the SEAL team's latest mission to Mexico would change his life forever.

Fiona Storme resigned herself to the fact that it was highly unlikely she would make it out of the jungle alive. Kidnapped by human traffickers, abused, and without family or friends looking for her, Fiona knew wishing for rescue was as realistic as having a big, juicy hamburger fall from the sky. Unbeknownst to Fiona, the SEAL team, including Cookie, were on the way, but their assignment didn't consist of rescuing her.

Protecting Fiona is the 3rd book in the SEAL of Protection Series.

OMG perfect Seal love

WoW 🔥 Seal and his woman ! I loved listening to the story of Fiona and Hunter's love . Hearing Fiona have the flashback was hard but knowing Hunter ( Cookie ) would always be there to keep her safe brought tears to my eyes . If you have problems with rape I advise you not to get this book although the rape isn't described the flashback is hard to listen to. The author handled the problem Fiona had after her rescue with finesse. I'm not sure I could have listened if it had been actually described. The flight from the kidnappers was mind boggling and kept me wondering if they'd make it out . WoW Fiona was awesome in her strength fighting her addiction. Hunter knew from the beginning he was totally attracted to Fiona and he knew he'd wait forever for her to accept him in her life completely. I loved loved loved the chemistry between Hunter and Fiona ! I'd love to read an update on them lol 😋!

Cookie and Fiona

I really liked this story. Cookie went in to Mexico to bring back a Senators daughter who had been kidnapped. But when he got there he found Fiona along with Julie(the senators daughter). Fiona was strong and selfless. Cookie had to practically order her to take care of herself. But she didn’t want to be any trouble and she had accepted her fate by the time he had gotten there. Her fate being death, not a sex slave. She never broke and always fought that.

Cookie or Hunter fell hard for Fiona, and Fiona fell in love with her rescuer. She also fit in seamlessly with the rest of the group.

Woman has gone through hell

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes because the romance is not overshadowing the main story and the main story is so incredibly vivid, it's scary.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the heroine immediately. She was someone I could relate to and she had a sense of what she had to do and how she had to get it done. She trudged through hell and after it was all over and done with, then she could fall apart. Incredibly strong woman.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Fiona saved Hunter after he was shot. How she got him strapped in and then went back for his pack. She shouldn't have been able to think straight with what she'd been through, but she was relentless.

Another Great Addition to this Series

Oh this story..how can a story break your heart and fill it up with warm feelings all at the same time? Susan Stoker has managed to do this with the third book in her SEAL of Protection series.

Hunter found Fiona while on a mission to rescue a Senator’s daughter. She was kidnapped and held hostage by sex traffickers. He was taken in by her fight to survive and her selflessness. He made sure when the mission was over that he took care of Fiona. She was his.

The fight they waged together to help Fiona survive and acclimate back into society was what warmed my heart. I not only wanted to see Fiona succeed but for the both of them to find their happily ever after.

Susan Stoker did a great job of shedding some light on a very serious matter while keeping the reader intrigued. Such a great addition to an awesome series.

A Strong heroine

Protecting Fiona Is action and suspense but with an emotional storyline and a strong, very independent heroine and a kind and protective hero.

“You’re mine, Fee. No one else will touch this. No one else will get to see this. I’ll protect you with my life if I have to. You’re safe with me. Mine. You’re mine.”

I’m loving this series especially the audiobook narration by Stella Bloom.

JUST WOW

I was still listening to this book when I decided to write a review because people who love contemporary, military romantic suspense would be missing out if they didn't get to experience this book.
Fiona is one of the strongest female character's I had the pleasure of reading, but the traumatic situation Hunter "Cookie" finds and rescues her from catches is even too much for her to filter through on her own.
I'm having a hard time deciding if I like book 1 or book 3 the most. The thrilling action had me on the edge of my seat and Fiona's and Hunter's continual fight to help heal her kept me listening.
Stella Bloom did another amazing narrating job and with the characters growing due to new girlfriends she is only getting better.
I am a hopeless romantic so Hunter definitely fit the bill as my temporary book boyfriend, but what he did for Fiona makes him a character I'm going to love reminiscing about.
Suspense, SEALs, deep attraction, devotion and a happy ending. Enough said.
