I was surprised by this emotional love story!

I loved this book! Not only was the story great, but Jason Clarke's voice, ... wow!

Dark Mafia Romance

The storyline was good. You could feel the two MC being drawn to each other in this enemies to lovers/forced proximity romance. So much angst in this story! Also some situations that may be triggers for some readers/listeners.

Terrific narration by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood. The voice actors were stellar in portraying the main and secondary characters.

Great Combination

I found this a good combination of sexy, swoony, adventurous, thrilling, all the great stuff that goes into a captivating story.

Loved watching the heroine take care of herself but still fell in love with the Hero wanting to be the one to take care of her. So glad this story came into my life!

Amazing Performace from Narrators

This story is my first from this author and I enjoyed this book.

The characters and story will keep you entertained and keep you until the end.
I liked the characters and the way the story came together.

I am diving right into the next book of the series.

Really loved the action, suspense in the Enemies to Lovers!

This is a story filled with action, suspense and romance. I love it when all three come together nicely. I’m not gonna lie I was confused a time or two on who was who and what they did. But as the story went on it became a nice mix of Bad Russians, mafia bad boys and then there is Nick. He seems to be in the middle of it all. Then a girl gets Involved by accident and everything that Nick thought he knew just went out the window. These two make a lovely enemies to lovers couple. There are secondary characters that mostly I love to hate. They are truly bad to the bone. One though stood out to me. Kit who works with Nick really shined throughout the whole book.

Overall I throughly enjoyed this and it kept me glued to my ear buds. I also want to mention the job that Maggie’s has is great. Not too often do I read a female character who owns and works in a garage. Very nice!
I did listen to this on audio. Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood rocked this one!

Hidden Gem

First off best narration, perfect compilation of Jason Clark and Savannah Peachwood. Brought together by coincidence the lives of Nick and Maggie collide in the underworld of mob life. They have to learn to trust each other, as they continue to escape being killed their relationship develops. Great enemy to lovers story.

Wow! What a great book.

I truly enjoyed this book, the mystery and suspense had me hooked from the start.
Standalone with no Cliffhangers.
She is alone in life with just her friends, she is strong but struggles with demons from her past.
He is a leader but ready to walk away from his life of crime.
Then they are thrown together and the adventure begins.
A bad deal has a LOT of bad guys after him and she is his captive, or is she.
There is betrayal, heat, friendship, love and so much more in this book.

Lots of twist and quite the trip

Prophet is on the run to save himself, until he can sort out why someone wants him dead, he has to drop further off the radar than he already is. But unfortunately there is an added complication in the form of Maggie. Friend of a friend and the victim of unfortunate timing, she ends up under his protection however she would call it being his prisoner... po-tay-to, po-tah-to...

The audiobook was performed by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood. I was on the edge of my seat through all of this. Jason's deep tones were perfect as Prophet with his dark, selfish exterior. The softness he brings to the character's back story made me feel deeply for Prophet. Savannah is a delight to listen to and she had a great balance of scared/traumatized mixed in with frustrated/hit-someone-with-a-rock survival instincts.

I requested and was provided a copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.

The audio performances enhance the story

In the last month, I've listened to two drastically different stories by S.M. West—a new author for me—and I had to check Goodreads to see if it was the same S. M West. I loved both the stories and the choice in narrators. Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are two of my absolute favorite narrators and they did an excellent job with the Audible version of Prophet. I would definitely recommend listening to this story over reading it.

I often avoid stories with the protagonist involved in organized crime because it's tough to resolve how one person can both disregard human life in some cases yet claim to revere it in others. That being said, I'm not opposed to reading about offing bad guys or non-violent crime. S.M. West did a good job keeping Nick's more offensive actions in the past and providing an explanation of how he got to be where he is now. I would recommend this audiobook to romantic suspense listeners and to Jason Clarke/Savannah Peachwood fans.

What a ride!! This book takes off like a rocket and does not fizzle till the end!!!
Kidnapping , pissed off gangsters, crazy hideouts , betrayal , dangerous lead alpha, and and mysterious female. Steamy.......

This is my first by this Author and I was pleasantly blown away!!!
Fun, Fast Paced, well written , Bad Ass , entertaining story!!!
