Critic reviews

"Marie Louise von Franz's Projection and Re-Collection is thorough in its wide-ranging exploration as both a map and a guide to the recognition and reclaiming of projection. Von Franz skillfully brings theory to life as she builds on and further develops C. G. Jung's research on projection." (Julia Jewett, Jungian analyst)
"The book is stimulating in going to the core of psychotherapeutic work, and invites a response from psychotherapists in general and from Jungian analysts in particular." ( San Francisco Jung Institute Library Journal)

Superb!

von Franz gives both theoretical undergirding of projection, and elucidates with case studies and literary connections.

This book is a tool for healing the world, by showing how an individual can begin a healing of their psyche, and live in the world without the violence of projecting their own inner darkness onto others.

Great Material, Except for Mispronounced Words

There were only a few things that bothered me, which is a pet peeve of mine. The narrator mispronounces two words that are important to the text.

First is Jung and Jungian. Jung is pronounced as it is in German, which is not like the English young. The other one was the archaic word Daimon. She had a lot of trouble with daimon, never butchering it in quite the same way.

The reason why the mispronunciation is so cringe is that this an only for audible production. If they are going to make money off work, I imagine is in the public domain, they should at least pronounce the words right. This is a prolific work, and production value like this is a kick to the face to anyone who is going to invest their time in an intellectual work of this caliber.

Made me want to know more about this Jung fellow.

Parts of the exposition on the self and "sparks" sound very similar to Lurianic kabbalah.

Marie Louise Von Franz is a Wizard!

I hope they add more of her books! This is so good! It takes courage to take back our projections, but when we do… we find the God within!

Wonderful

Hearing a voice deliver this material makes it so much more alive than it feels on paper.
