Ben is a miscreant, a working-class kid who never should have wound up as a lawyer at all. Professional camouflage hid that fact for a long time. His pragmatic approach to the prosecutor's job often leaves him at odds with the suckers inhabiting the Land of Lollipops.

The story doesn’t play by the usual rules, and that’s what makes it so fun. The characters are messy and relatable, their battles are raw, and the humor keeps everything moving.
