Chapter 2 pilot privileges and limitations question 7: "What are the minimum weather requirements for a pilot flying under flight rules(VFR) during daylight?
This does not specify which airspace and therefore is vague. I also had FAR 91.155 in front of me which it quotes the different types of airspace.
The answer it lists is "3 statute miles visibility and without clouds" This answer would imply Class B airspace but that was not listed in the question. Based on how it's worded you can assume Class E but that would have 2 answers depending on the altitude, or assume class G which would be 1 statute mile and clear of clouds for Day VFR.
This type of vague question can throw people off, I even showed my CFI and he also said there is not enough information to answer.
The second example I will give is Chapter 4 communications and radio procedures question 2 "What is the proper protocol, for acknowledging instructions from air traffic control?"
It says the correct answer is "Confirm by saying Roger or Wilco" which is partially correct, I believe the closer answer should be "Confirm by saying Roger or Wilco and repeat back critical information" the closest answer is "Repeat the instructions word for word" which is close but not exactly the protocol. Again it's vague, and in listening to ATC and speaking with them I notice a different protocol.
Much of the information is okay but after having this happen numerous times during my listen I had to spend more time verifying if the information is correct than actually reviewing. I would not recommend this unless the information is made to be less vague.
