An invitation from an old friend draws Jack Morgan into a deadly conspiracy....
On a cold January morning, Jack Morgan stands inside the New York Stock Exchange with his former US marine comrade whose company is being launched onto the market, eagerly awaiting the opening bell.
But before the bell rings, a bullet rips through the air and finds its mark.
In the aftermath of the murder, the victim's wife hires Jack to find the killer. As the head of Private, Jack has at his disposal the world's largest investigation agency. What he discovers shakes him to his core.
Jack identifies another murder in Moscow that appears to be linked. So he heads to Russia and begins to uncover a conspiracy that could have global consequences.
With powerful forces plotting against him, will Jack Morgan make it out alive?

Not up to scratch
Found this really hard going which is something I have never said about a James Patterson book. The voice actors didn’t do anything to liven up the story

Shocking
The worst James Patterson story I have ever read/ heard.
I’m surprised JP put his name to it and am sure he was not involved in its creation.
Just an excuse to extend the series with little realism or quality.

Bored and forgettable in parts.
Found the parts with Jack good, but the others in parts forgettable and a little to preachy in parts for my liking. Use to look forward to James Patterson and Private books, but now I am starting to get bored.

Good story but monotone narration
liked the story and was of the standard expected from James Patterson however, let down by the drab monotone male voice narrator. found my self drifting off and having to re listen in sections as narration was so uninviting and boring tone to listen to

Just love Private
Great story as ever. The Russian accent was poor/stunted and let the audio book down. Nowhere as bad as Private India. Can we stay in the US or UK for the next book.

One of my favourite “Private” books
I have listened to all of the Private series books and have to say this was one of my favourites. The story line moves quickly and the intercontinental balance is done well. Easy listening and kept me wanting to “not switch off” which is a good sign for any audiobook.
