Very Poor Follow Up
The first installment of this series was excellent. Very gripping. Kept me wanting more! THIS follow up is, in a word, BORING. Simon King is continually apologizing for the boredom, saying "I know this is not what you were expecting..." Well, no duh! One can only take so many "Toby asked for a cup of tea..." in a book! My count, until I quit the book, was four times. Four times we were treated to Toby asking for a cup of tea. And those were the HIGHLIGHTS of this crapola. Simon King, obviously, had nothing to share. So, this begs the question: WHY write the piece of dung at all???? Todd Waites is a solid narrator, and the ONLY reason I kept listening as long as I did: Story Book 8, Tuesday, January 1st. Do yourself a favor, skip this volume. Waste not your credits here, there TRULY is nothing here. For anyone.
