Publisher's Summary

Never before has the world seen such a princess. Nor have her own subjects, for that matter. Mia's royal introduction to Genovia has mixed results: while her fashion sense is widely applauded, her position on the installation of public parking meters is met with resistance.

But the politics of bureaucracy are nothing next to Mia's real troubles. Between canceled dates with her long-sought-after royal consort, a second semester of the dreaded Algebra, more princess lessons from Grandmere as a result of the Genovian parking-meter thing, and the inability to stop gnawing on her fingernails, isn't there anything Mia is good at besides inheriting an unwanted royal title?

Love the series hate the narrator.

Would you consider the audio edition of Princess in Waiting to be better than the print version?

I love listening to audio books. Its like they bring the story to life. Watching a movie but better.

What other book might you compare Princess in Waiting to and why?

The rest of the Princess Diaries series.

Would you be willing to try another one of Clea Lewis’s performances?

Her voice is so annoying. After having Anne Hathaway for the first 3 books listening to her voice is like nails on the chalkboard. I don't know if I can take much more of it.

Amazing But...........

This book was so good but Clea Lewis's voice makes Mia sound like a whiny little brat. Awesome book though!

Please bring back Anne Hathaway

The narrator's voice is grating compared to Anne Hathaway's performance for books 1-3. Definitely would have preferred someone with a softer voice so there's some continuity between books.

Great Clarice, not so great Mia.

The readers French is excellent as well as her performance of Clarice, but her interpretation of Mia feels more like a Lana than a Mia. Yes, Mia is young, but she lives in NYC and not a California beach town.

y'all are too harsh on the narrator

i didn't hate this new narrator like some people seem to hate her. sure she wasn't anne hathaway but i still enjoyed it. mia is 14 and in love and i thought the narrator fit that.

Ugh, narration is rough.

It’s a hard trick to pick up the performance after Anne Hathaway, but good lord this narrator is obnoxious. She reads it in the squeakiest, irritating voice. I was planning on downloading the whole series, but I can’t listen to this narrator any more.

new reader of the book

I liked anne Hathaway reading the first four book but this new lady does a fantastic job of doing male and female voices. something anne never quite got across. I hope the new girl reads the rest of the series!

Miss Ann Hathaway

Voice over made character seem whiney and spoiled. The story was very cute. Wish Ann could have done all the books!
