Simple story

I listen only because of michael kraemer performance, story is very simple and suitable as a background audiobook, like when u want to work and listen to something at same time

Excellent end to the series !!!!

I rushed into this book, hot from the last one. I was not disappointed. The action picks right back up. The love story arc reaches its crescendo. Another love story arc starts to bud. War is at hand. The fate of the human race to be decided, which breeds a desperate attempt at a desperate plan. Heroes arise facing insurmountable odds. All leading to a climactic ending that will punch you in the gut and leave you gasping for air. Definitely a fitting end to a very enjoyable series.

This was a great series - well worth any fantasy buffs listening time. The story moves along and the characters are well developed. I enjoy the first person story telling in each chapter. Truly, I hated to see the series end.

And lets not forget Michael Kramer and Kate Reading - as a team they are the gold standard!

I couldn’t ask for this series to end better. Thank you Mr. Peel for hours of enjoyment. I’ll be reading anything you write from now forward.

So ends the Fall of Radiance, a great YA fantasy series...

First, I’ll say that I’m sad it’s over. This is a great series, with an interesting world and likable characters.

The ending was AMAZING. Action-packed, heart wrenching, with more than a few laughs sprinkled in along the way. The epilogue actually brought a tear to my eye.

I definitely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys fantasy books. Read it!! I promise that you’ll enjoy it.

From an old war dog.

I am an old war dog who has seen much in my 60 plus years. I understand the trauma of war, and the toll it takes from those willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect those who can't protect themselves. It takes a lot to affect me on an emotional level. The epilog brought tears to my eyes, the likes of which I can't remember, ever having.

None shall pass by as we stand guard

‘Our solemn duty is to protect the borders of the realms of men from those enemies that would seek our destruction. The wilderness shall be our homestead. The sun and stars our only hearth. We will sacrifice everything, even our lives in defence of the kingdom and to the death of those who would do us harm.

We are the watchers in the woods; the arrows in the darkness; None shall pass by while we stand guard’.

And that is what they did, with tragic consequences. Heartbreaking.

My only adverse comment would be that I could not take to Zara. I found her very arrogant. I am unsure whether this could be due to the narration of this character, but I could not warm to her at all. That said, I would thoroughly recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy; just beware it will tear your heart out.

Good series, but average end

Last book was a bit slow and uneventful. Aloy has happened in the series, and this book is more of the same. The going back and forth narration can be a bit much, as it cuts the story. Ending was bad and boring.
