A wonderful collection of 12 stories

Ebook review from 2023:
One of the things I enjoyed was the collection and variation of the stories. I was able in one sitting read one of the stories and feel completed for the day & then come back the next day for another one and in this format the number of pages flew by faster than if it had been one story. With the variety of types of stories I can in the future decide what I feel like to re-read (depending on my mood) and what can be skipped for that time. A few of the stories I would love to see if one of these years the author might expand on them (especially "And Then the Dragons Came").

UPDATE:
3/7/26 AUDIOBOOK: This was fantastically narrated by Harry Frost. It was also wonderful to revisit the stories again. With it being an audiobook it will be easier in the future to pick up & listen to them as I am working in the garden or doing chores. I am so thankful that authors are using human narrators and not anything AI or virtual voice!
