Mixed feelings

But loved it. thought cowboys and bikers were my favorites, bratva wasn't even on the radar! I love the accent,maybe that's it! human trafficking is not my thing so that aspect of the story was tough to deal with.I do love obsession so I dig that part of the story. Really glad I knew going in that there's a hea, otherwise it'd been too tough to read.

My Two Pennies

This is undoubtedly a dark Bratva romance, Nicolai and Marissa have been side by side for years and all it takes is one warning to change it all. I was in the edge of my seat more often then not hearing their story, the length Nicolai will go through to continue to be a protector is incredible. My heart is with Marissa and all she endured for so long and yet she continues to move forward. This story is not for the light reader, we’re taken through dark scenes more often then not. This is a spin-off to the series and can be read as a standalone.

Series is phenomenal

this book has everything you want love deception mystery and is hot as hell to read or to listen to they do such an excellent job

I absolutely love Jane’s books! I loved the taboo forbidden romance between Marissa (18 years old) and her body guard Nicolai (31 years old). I was pulled in from the very first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.
I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Beyond Measure so I can get Tomas and Caroline’s story.

Kai and Wen did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, Bratva or mafia romances, forbidden romances, or romantic suspense.

Kai Kenneticutt and Wen Ross narrations were right on. Having all the emotions, and accents for each character flawlessly.

Jane Henry is so very good at writing Bratva books!!

Her stories at about characters that are ferocious in their dealings as well as in love. Nicholai has been Marissas bodyguard for a long time... at her graduation he discovers her father is selling her to pay a debt. He takes her and runs.. but did not outrun the ones who were to take her. They tried to kill him and took Marissa.

Nicholai hides and keeps looking for her. He will find her and kill anyone who has laid a hand on her!

What follows is a story with twists and turns that keep you listening and make you want to know what’s next! I recommend it for anyone who is a Bratva romance books and any one who doesn’t.. I dare you to read it!!!

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are excellent for these characters!!!

Something missing…

I usually love stories like this… but it felt like something… a whole lot… was missing. It starts off with a whirlwind and then it goes stagnant. It was hard for me to continue listening.

I loved this read/listen from the wonderful Jane Henry. I could not put it down. Marissa and Nicolai/Aleks story was so good. There were many twists and turns. I can’t but root for the bravata and the brotherhood. I can’t wait for the next book. Even though they are stand alone it’s great to read them all and you just wait for the next story.

Narration is great keeps you interested

Deeply dark and captivating romance!

This is a well written beautiful dark romance story that has me with so many mixed emotions involving Dom/Sub. I wanted to stop listening to it and listen to it at the same time. It was intense, maddening and I felt All of the emotions, at bated breath often for both mc's thanks to the Absolutely outstanding performance of both narrators. Incredible.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
