Publisher's summary

Loneliness can crush the soul, particularly when a person has lost a lifelong mate. To blonde, voluptuous Jamie and Korean fireplug Soo Jin, loneliness is not a condition, but an opportunity ripe for exploitation. Those sick old men don’t need properties and money; they need to die. All they do is veg out in front of a TV all day, popping their meds. On the other hand, Jamie and Soon Jin still have a lot of life left in them. They need those properties and money to live life to its fullest. Perhaps those wealthy old guys just need a little push to speed up the process.

And so they scheme, lying in wait for an aneurysm ready to burst, a cancer ready to spread, or a heart ready to fail, leaving in their wake a trail of dead old men and devastated families. Meet Jamie and Soo Jin, the black widows of Preying 4 Rain…or, might we suggest, avoid Jamie and Soo Jin at all costs…if you’d rather keep your loved ones alive.

Kept Me Going!

This book was recommended to me and I went into it not really knowing what it was about. I soon found myself chuckling at a lot of the comments. I didn't know if it was supposed to be funny, but I found it amusing. The main character, Jaimie girl, is amusing. But as the story gets more involved, she is a pretty bad person. But somehow, she is still likable. The story was incredibly eye-opening to what can happen to our seniors, even if they are not left all alone. Things can happen right under everyone's nose. This story kept me wanting to hear more. It was told at a good pace. I liked the narration too. It added to the amusement of the story. I really enjoyed it.

A Thrill a minute!

Not everyone can handle loneliness but there are others that can do so much more with it. Jamie and Soon Jin had been taken advantage of and abused while young and vulnerable. Now they each return the favor by preying on the lonely, sick, and unsuspecting. Conniving and deceptive, these two women join forces and wreak havoc growing rich with each step.
The authors, Steve Verba and Wayne Wright crafted a captivating tale with your not-so-typical villains or innocent victims. The story is vivid in details and emotions and told from a point of view that allows the listener to see deep within one character’s thoughts and actions. The dialogue was authentic and easy to follow. It is an eye-opening story that makes one wonder and look with suspicion at certain people in our own lives.

The narrator, Wayne Wright provides a vivid and richly told tale with unique voices and a steady cadence. He speaks clearly and defines the emotions well for each character. His narration is strong as he moves fluidly and effortlessly through the story including those parts that some of us might find difficult to hear let alone speak.

This is a thrilling thought-provoking look behind crimes against the elderly and sick, how each of us is affected by childhood, and more.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook; it was well done.
