Story
To the uninitiated, Savannah shows only her bright face and genteel manner. Those who know her well, though, can see beyond her colonial trappings and small-city charm to a world where witchcraft is respected, Hoodoo is feared, and spirits linger. Mercy Taylor is all too familiar with the supernatural side of Savannah, being a member of the most powerful family of witches in the South. Despite being powerless herself, of course. Having grown up without magic of her own, in the shadow of her talented and charismatic twin sister, Mercy has always thought herself content.

You'll be in for a wild ride!
What made the experience of listening to Pretty Sacrifices the most enjoyable?
The narrator's voice was perfect for this audiobook: the voice of a Young Adult, vibrant, full of emotions.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character? Difficult to say when there are so many to choose from! Glory is great but so is Kaia and don't forget little Belle Starr. And, yes, Micah, the fallen angel; fallen because he had seen too many children die.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene near the end with Jesse, Belle Starr, Micah and the Goth Girls.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listen to audiobooks while doing the house chores and at night, to help me when I have insomnia. And, yes, I did lots of house chores then some garden chores so I didn't have to put this audiobook down. I even listened to it during my afternoon "nap"!
Any additional comments?
I bought and read the Kindle book when it was published but, still, the audiobook was like something new to me. Conspiracy for the world domination, fight of good versus evil, black magic against white magic, there was all this in "Glory", the first book of this trilogy. Now, there's also Quantum Physics and Time Travel, favorite themes of Sci-Fi fans. Some of you won't like it but for the others, you're in for a wild ride. Me, I loved it!
