Publisher's summary

Presumed Innocent: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!

Hailed as the most suspenseful and compelling novel in decades, Presumed Innocent brings to life our worst nightmare: that of an ordinary citizen facing conviction for the most terrible of all crimes. It's the stunning portrayal of one man's all-too-human, all-consuming fatal attraction for a passionate woman who is not his wife, and the story of how his obsession puts everything he loves and values on trial - including his own life. It's a book that lays bare a shocking world of betrayal and murder, as well as the hidden depths of the human heart. And it will hold you and haunt you...long after you have reached its shattering conclusion. Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music.

The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Saw the movie the book was even better

It has been a long time since I've seen the movie which I thought was outstanding at the time. I have a tendency to buy books of great movies I've seen I like to play them at night as I try to relax and go to sleep instead of watching television.

I was riveted from the get go as the opening narration set the tone right away. The orator nailed each part of the main characters. The story itself is unlike any whodunit court room crime thriller. There's some educational value thrown in as well that works with the narration it's very smart.

The ending is different from the movie very enjoyable. I like smart reads this is one of them

Good listen

Overall good book, I didn’t see the end coming, but there are some moments in the book that definitely could be shortened with the same impact.

Music too distracting

The voice of the narrator became more tolerable as additional characters were introduced, which was fine. Unfortunately the music was too distracting, unnecessary, and at times was so horrible that I had to fast forward to remove myself from the thumping sound that caused a headache to grow. They tried too hard to create suspense with the music that it detracted from the story.

Background music?

The background music has got to go. Very distracting. Please provide at least an option to turn it off.

Terrible background “music”

I won’t get another audiobook with notes in the background. It’s very distracting and gave me a headache. I almost gave up on the book. Other than that it was a good story.

Wonderful...BUT!!!

The voice actor was excellent, the story is amazing and engrossing.
PLEASE DROP THE BACKGROUND MUSIC! It's distracting,. The tone of the music frequently does not match the action of the book. I enjoyed it, but it would have been much better without the schmaltzy music constantly in the background

Be aware of annoying background music!!

I am not one to write reviews but in this case I couldn’t keep my mouth shut.
I had a very hard time with this book, the background music was so loud and the narrator’s voice so soft it was hard to hear at times.. I came very close to returning this book because of that.
The story was good and would’ve keep my interest if not for the annoying music, I got on the audible website and listened to the sample but there was no background music, if book two is the same, I will be returning all the titles that I purchased from this series..
