Publisher's summary

Everything you need to know about pregnancy and childbirth - Just facts, no superstitions!

Pregnancy is an extraordinary state. There’s a cute little baby growing inside you, you experience all kinds of weird symptoms, and you’re constantly bombarded with contradictory advice and bizarre superstitions.

Even if you’re just trying for a baby, you’re probably already overwhelmed by all the contradictory information on how to get pregnant.

This is why you need a trusted source of information that will save you from confusion and give you realistic information about pregnancy and childbirth. One such source is your doctor, but they’re not available 24/7, so you also need a reliable book to guide you through these nine months (or 40 weeks, to be more exact).

This audiobook covers the journey from conceiving a baby to setting up your breastfeeding routine. You’ll learn what happens to your body as the baby grows, how to adapt your lifestyle for a healthy pregnancy, and much more!

Here’s what this audiobook will teach you:

  • How to prepare your body for pregnancy and how to locate the most fertile time of the month
  • How to deal with emotional swings, weird aches and pains, morning sickness, and other symptoms of pregnancy
  • Popular myths and misconceptions about pregnancy
  • How to adapt your nutrition and physical activity to have a safe and healthy pregnancy
  • How to deliver your baby and recover from childbirth

This audiobook is written with first-time moms and dads in mind, but more experienced parents can benefit from it too. Maybe they’ll learn a new trick for managing heartburn or make a more informed choice among the delivery options available today.

Take care of yourself during pregnancy and know what to expect.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Very awkward wording/robot voice

I feel like this book would be better in not audio version but the wording they use is very odd and got pretty annoying. One example I can think of is calling stretch marks stretch imprints. Reminds me of when I would write high school papers and look at the thesaurus to spice up my language.

Terrible recording!!! Skip it

I’m sure that after this audiobook was recorded, nobody even listened to it to edit all the mistakes, double takes, throat clearing, etc. It is extremely distracting. Also, instead of talking of scientific and medical research, the book points out at “logic“. Skip it. Look for something better.

pretty boring

I am almost 6 months, started the book very early in pregnancy and still have not finished as the book is pretty boring and doesn't keep you interested. I have read/listened to better books then this.

editing is awful

the editing was non-existent. you could hear her clear her throat on some occasions, and she would often repeat herself if she read something incorrectly

Offended and annoyed

Let’s start by saying I didn’t even make it to chapter two. For one the voice is absolutely horrible and difficult to listen to. It’s robotic. Two there is a section where the talk about underweight women and use the word “underweight” to describe them. When they go talk about women who are “overweight” in stead of using overweight or obese they just straight up call these women fat. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones but how disrespectful to talk about your own female community that way especially when we already feel huge as it is. Using the word fat is insensitive and uncalled for. Stopped listening

This audio book is really awesome!

Great book, informative but doesn’t bog you down with tons of medical information. Light heated! I’ll be passing it on to new Mommy friends!

It’s good information but inaccuracies

Your word choice makes it confusing sometimes as to what you’re referring to ex. Work, conception, and many more

There are also some inaccuracies in regards to medication for example acetaminophen is actually the pain medication recommended by doctors

Waste of money

The writing was extremely clinical and cold. I felt like I was listening to my Alexa read a users Manual the entire time.
