Prayers for peace

Victoria has grown up in a devout Christian family with a background in Guatemala. In fact, her grandfather traveled from there to America to escape poverty and find a new life for his new bride. Because those roots are so string to her, she chooses to go on a mission to Guatemala in order to not just build churches and spread the word of God but also to help educate children for better lives. When seeing all the violence and poverty and unfairness of life for locals, she finds herself in a crisis of faith until meeting and falling in love with a partially deaf man who grew up in Guatemala and was sent over the border with his younger brothers as a teenager after his father was killed and his mother was ill. He has come back to teach sign language to other children and through all his struggles still has amazing faith. They end up caught in a deadly situation with locals, and the only thing that can save Victoria and the children she must protect is her faith.
