Publisher's Summary

The plight of sea through the eyes of a mermaid.

Pouraka is a magical sea cavern tucked under the rocky cliffs near Barnacle Bay. Cora, a Pouraka mermaid, is torn between her friends in the seaside town, and her true love Tas, a foreign merman whose clan fled when men invaded their waters.

Life becomes perilous for Cora and Tas when an unscrupulous oil rigger's son discovers the rich aquatic life Barnacle Bay harbors. With his intrusion, the merfolk must fight for their lives, and the lives of the dolphins that protect them

Loved this story!

I have known Dianne for many years and so when she started writing, I wanted to read all her books. I have always been fascinated by Mermaids since I a child. I grew up in Port Orchard, WA, which is on the water, and have always loved the ocean. It does something to me every time I visit. This book was one that I could not wait to read. I was not disappointed. Dianne hooked me right from the beginning and kept me through the book. I could not stop listening. Joel did a great job narrating the story and bringing it to life. In our busy life, taking care of the ocean and planet can escape our minds but Dianne reminds us to consider the animals living in on the this planet with us. I love animals but I have to admit that I haven't really given much thought to the sea life in the depths. Dianne gives a voice to the voiceless. Thanks Dianne.
