Publisher's Summary

Turn down the heat, stay cool and discover how to raise happy children with positive parenting!

Do you recognize any of these situations:

“You are not the boss of me.”

“It´s not fair.”

“I don´t like you.”

Especially the last one can break a parent´s heart, even if you know your kid doesn't mean it.

We´ve all been there!

Your child does something wrong and all you want to do is be a good parent, explain the situation and point out the consequences.

Your kid stops listening before you've even started. Eventually, the situation escalates and all hell breaks loose.

At the end of the day, your kid has already forgotten about what happened in the afternoon, and you are the one who aged five years in 30 seconds.

Wasn't it your child who was supposed to level up instead of your stress levels that spike every time this situation occurs?

Don't worry, this is an average child-parent situation. You are not alone with your questions and fears.

According to the National Parenting Survey, 73 perfect of all moms and dads say parenting is their biggest challenge. One in four parents feel equally terrified and motivated when it comes to raising their kids. Parents agree that if they knew more positive parenting strategies, they would use them. No wonder a majority of parents say they like to get parenting advice from the Supernanny or similar TV programs.

Great news, good parenting can be learned and it is much easier and less stressful than you could ever imagine.

In Positive Parenting, you´ll discover:

  • How to turn friction and rebellion into cooperation and peace.
  • How to get the support you need whenever you feel like crying, screaming or running away.
  • How to solve the discipline dilemma with the number one key to kids' attention.
  • How to overcome the expectation gap and understand children's capabilities.
  • How your child becomes your forever friend.
  • Practical exercises to take action on your new parenting skills.
  • Special tools for all stages of life from crying infants to rebellious teenagers.
  • Four pillars to stop being judged or judging yourself.
  • And much, much more...

Parenting can be a team sport or done by one super parent.

No matter what kind of relationship parents have, there is parenting support for everyone from modern patchwork families to yogi single moms. When it comes to parenting, communication is the golden key to the heart and the head of your kid. Yet, words need to be chosen the right way or they can inflict harm.

Very good book!

I truly gained a lot from this book. It’s an excellent, thorough guide to all the aspects that go into being a positive, respectful, gentle and conscious parent. It’s also very practical as opposed to theoretical. I recommend this book all the time to anyone who asks!

Best one

It is written from parent to parent with a sense that it is your closet friend guiding your journey towards an amazing relationship with yourself and your family, Within a week of starting this book and applying the behavioral changes to myself my family has become more open and willing to hear me and show respect to each other. The remarkable change in my children is their willingness to connect and offer up there cuddles freely.

A must have!

The principles of positive parenting offer a way out of confusion for both parents and teens. Using the principles I have learned in this book, I can not only understand not-so-little children more, but I can also be equipped with the skills I need to set limits, discipline and help my child become a responsible adult.

Great parenting book

Great parenting book for those who would like to be positive parents. Confirms positive things we are already doing and gives us great ideas of how to continue down the road of positive parenting. In a world that is filled with unnecessary violence and hate, my hope is to raise a strong, sensitive, empathetic and caring little person. This book is helping guide me in that direction.

Awesome book

Natasha Becker has been there, done that and written a book about it! all to try to help other parents who instinctively do not want to parent their children harshly because it feels wrong to yell at them about them yelling at you or each other. I have not finished the book yet but it is living up to expectations so far and I would happily recommend it to other parents who feel that traditional parenting does not work for them. However, this is not a quick trick book it takes time and commitment to change yours and your family's perspectives and dynamics.

This book is remarkably insightful

This book is remarkably insightful and offers immediate guidance on how to become a positive parent. The author writes in a way that proves gentleness is for all of us, not just our children. Listening to this book feels like being guided by a good friend who knows my struggles and accepts me anyway. It's well-written and inspiring. I plan to use it often in my counseling work with parents.

Less stressful now.

It's a great book that explains how you need to raise your child. But it didn't cover sleep time and the potty training part I wasn't sure of. Overall, this book is quite simple but it's also helpful. It definitely made me less stressed about dealing with my 2 years old.

Mother of two approves!

As a mother of two (1-year-old and 6 years old) I found this book to be very valuable. Helped me deal with some discipline issues and just basically how to be a better, kinder and CALMER parent. Well produced, easy to follow and packed full of advice.

THE Guide for Kids

I know that reading a book about discipline may not sound like fun, but this one is actually interesting and written in an engaging style. I was not expecting much from it but really like it. Good information and presented in a digestible way.

Easy to understand; easy to apply!

This has probably been the most helpful parenting book I've read--and I've read many! It teaches the same principles of Love and Logic but is more specific about how to apply the principles. It works on the concept of natural consequences instead of time outs and punishments. My favorite thing about this method of parenting is that I felt like it is actually helping our children learn to be responsible adults. We are creating the same situations they will encounter as they leave home and function in the world.

I love this book! It has helped me be a better parent in the direction I want to go! Kudos to the author for writing it! Hopefully, the word spreads - after all, we are raising the future this very moment and what we instill in our little ones will carry forth.
