Simple poems made better

Would you listen to Pose Prose & Poems again? Why?

I would listen to certain poems -- mainly for the narrator.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have organized it differently.

What does Linda Roper bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to Linda Roper, I am reminded of seeing a movie where the actors bring more to the characters and story than was in the original source material.

Any additional comments?

This book seems like an early effort of the author. At times, many of the poems have almost a nursery rhyme quality to them, and while clever, amusing, and witty in spots, I felt myself wanting a little more depth of feeling. Having said this, Linda Roper's narration is the real engine of the material -- bringing the poems to life through her wonderful vocal instrument -- adding flair, nuance, and just the right amount of emphasis when called for. I think Ms. Roper is a real find for Audible and would like to hear her tackle more substantive material where she could spread her wings even more.
